An inner focus type telescope includes a sighting objective lens, a focusing lens, a horizon compensating optical system, a focal plane, and an eyepiece through which an object image formed on the focal plane can be viewed, arranged in this order from the object side. The position of the focusing lens is adjustable to form the object image on the focal plane in accordance with the distance of an object to be viewed. The telescope further includes a beam splitting optical system provided in the optical path between the objective lens and the focal plane to split the optical path, a surface equivalent to the focal plane, provided in the beam splitting optical system, and a focus detecting system which detects the state of the focus at the equivalent surface.

Inner focus type telescope

A lens shutter type of camera is disclosed in which a zoom lens is positioned in a lens block (1) which has a sector gear (15) rotatably associated with the lens block and with a rotatable cam ring (14). The cam ring and sector gear are rotatable in a substantially constant axial position. A movable finder optical assembly (8) and a movable strobe assembly (9) are movable in association with movement of the zoom lens. The zoom lens is movable between an extreme telephoto position and an extreme wide angle position, as well a into a fully collapsed lens position beyond the extreme wide angle position and a macro or close-up photographing position beyond the extreme telephoto position. When the camera is in its macro mode, a prism (P1) is inserted into the finder optical assembly to correct for parallax; the strobe assembly is moved to change its illumination angle; and an optical wedge (4e) is pivoted into the path between a light receiver (4) and a light emitter (3e). A single cam plate (53) is provided to move the finder assembly and the strobe assembly. The photographic aperture (22b) can be selectively closed by barrier plates (31a) when the zoom lens is moved into its fully collapsed position. A light intercepting assembly (210) is provided for preventing light from entering the photographic optical assembly via cam grooves (20 and 21). This intercepting assembly includes a flexible code plate (90) which surrounds a peripheral portion of the cam ring (14) and which provides positional information relating to the position of the zoom lens.

Lens shutter camera including zoom lens

A mechanism for adjusting the diopter setting of a finder assembly which has an objective optical system and an eyepiece optical system, includes an object side image forming position adjusting device which adjusts the position where an image is to be formed by the objective optical system. The mechanism effectively compensates for any change that occurs in the position where an image is formed by the objective optical system due to temperature or humidity variations. Thus, the problem of plastic lenses having their focal lengths extended in a hot and humid environment is solved by the invention.

Device for adjusting the diopter setting of a finder assembly

A telescope includes a master telescope whose aberration has been independently corrected and which has an objective lens and an ocular lens. A rear conversion lens is provided on the image side of the objective lens of the master telescope and is made of a single lens having a concave surface that faces an object side. The rear conversion lens meets the requirements defined by the following relationships: f.sub.o '/f.sub.o &gt;1 and 0.5&lt;(dx.sub.2 /dh.sub.2)/(dx.sub.1 /dh.sub.1)&lt;1.3, wherein 'f.sub.o ' represents the focal length of the objective lens of the master telescope; 'f.sub.o '' represents the resultant focal length of the objective lens of the master telescope and the rear conversion lens; 'dx.sub.1 /dh.sub.1 ' represents an inclination of an incident surface of the rear conversion lens at an incident point thereof, upon which light is incident at a height h.sub.1 ; 'dx.sub.2 /dh.sub.2 ' represents an inclination of an emission surface of the rear conversion lens at an emission point thereof, at which light is emitted from the rear conversion lens at a height h.sub.2 ;h.sub.1 =0.36(f.sub.o).sup.2 /mf.sub.o ; h.sub.2 =0.36(f.sub.o) /m, and m is the magnification of said master telescope.

Telescope with rear converter and rear conversion lens and telescope

An interferometer causes a reference beam and a subject beam reflected from a roof surface to interfere with each other to form an interference fringe, which is detected by an image detecting element in its measuring area. Detection data from the image detecting element is processed by an image processing circuit, and then subjected to phase difference detection. A continuous function is determined as an approximation to a relationship between phase data and unit measuring areas located in a direction perpendicular to a line corresponding to a ridge line of the roof surface. A analysis relating to a roof angle is performed based on the continuous function thus determined.

Roof surface measuring apparatus

An Albada zoom finder includes a first lens assembly of positive power, a second lens assembly of negative power, a third lens assembly of negative power and a fourth lens assembly of positive power, arranged in this order from the object side of a camera. An Albada frame is provided on the lens surface of the fourth positive lens assembly on the object side thereof. A reflecting surface is provided on the lens surface of the third negative lens assembly on the viewing side thereof, wherein each of the four lens assemblies is comprised of a single lens. Only the second negative lens is movable as a variable power lens assembly.

An ocular system is disclosed which is composed of at least three lens elements for constituting, in order from the eye side, at least first and second lens units. At least one of the lens elements is made of resin. Two of the lens elements are substantially cemented together. In addition, an aspherical plastic lens is effectively used in the system.
