An image sensor includes an imaging system configured by combining of modularized components; and a processing part executing a process using an image acquired by the imaging system. Each of the components includes a memory storing information specifying the component. The image sensor further includes: a collection part collecting the information specifying the component from the memory; a storage part storing information representing a combination of the components of the image sensor and data to be used when the image sensor having the components indicated by the combination executes the process; a comparison part comparing a combination of its components with the combination of the components of the image sensor represented by the information stored in the storage part; and a notification part sending a notification based on a result of comparison.

Image sensor and module configuration notification method for image sensor

Provided is a technique for facilitating management of an image sensor having a modular structure. The image sensor includes an imaging system and a processing part executing a process using an image acquired by the imaging system. The imaging system is configured by combining a plurality of modularized components. Each of the components includes a non-volatile memory. The processing part is capable of reading and/or writing information from/to the memory of each of the components.
