According to one embodiment, a display device includes, the first substrate including an insulating substrate, first and second light-shielding layers, a stacked layer film, first and second source lines, and a first insulating layer, the second substrate including first and second light-shielding materials. A first width of the first light-shielding layer along the first direction is equal to or greater than a second width of the first light-shielding material along the first direction, and a third width of the second light-shielding layer along the first direction is equal to or greater than a fourth width of the second light-shielding material along the first direction.

Display device

A liquid crystal display device includes a counter substrate having a glass substrate, a color layer on the glass substrate, an overcoating layer on the color layer, and a counter protrusion and a counter wall protrusion on the overcoating layer. The counter protrusion is located in an image display region. The counter wall protrusion is located in a peripheral region enclosing the image display region. The counter protrusion and the counter wall protrusion are of substantially a same height. A first protrusion distance from the glass substrate to a top of the counter protrusion is shorter than a second protrusion distance from the glass substrate to a top of the counter wall protrusion. According to the liquid crystal display device configured as above, an outer periphery of a display panel does not bend.

A liquid crystal display device related to one embodiment includes a gate line arranged along a first direction, a first pixel including a first switching element connected to the gate line, and a first pixel electrode connected to the first switching element via a first contact hole arranged in an insulation layer, a second pixel including a second switching element connected to the gate line, and a second pixel electrode connected to the second switching element via a second contact hole arranged in the insulation layer, a first spacer arranged in the fixed pixel, and a second spacer arranged in the second pixel, wherein the first spacer and the second spacer are arranged substantially on the same straight line in the first direction, and the first contact hole and the second contact hole are alternately arranged sandwiching a straight line connecting the first spacer and the second spacer.

Liquid crystal display device

In one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a first gate line and a second gate line respectively extending in a first direction. A main pixel electrode is arranged between the first gate line and the second gate line and extending in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction. A pair of sub-common electrodes respectively faces the first gate line and the second gate line through an insulating layer and extends in the first direction. The second substrate includes a main common electrode electrically connected with the sub-common electrode and arranged on both sides sandwiching the main pixel electrode. A liquid crystal layer is held between the first substrate and the second substrate.
