A method of controlling a rotary electric machine, which is configured to supply an electric control amount to a power conversion unit, which is configured to convert a DC voltage from a power source into a drive current to the rotary electric machine in accordance with the electric control amount, the method including: using a conversion map, which is used to calculate the electric control amount based on a rotation speed of the rotary electric machine at a particular DC voltage of the rotary electric machine and a required command value; and calculating the electric control amount in accordance with a ratio between the particular DC voltage and the rotation speed of the rotary electric machine in determining the electric control amount in accordance with the conversion map.

Method of controlling rotary electric machine

Specified types of words are extracted from a plurality of radiology reports archived in an archive configured to archive a plurality of radiology reports. The words extracted from a single radiology report are stored in combination. In response to an input operation using an operating part of inputting the specified types of words, combinations including the specified types of words as one part are searched. A list of the specified types of words included as the other part in the searched combinations is generated. In response to an input operation using the operating part of selecting any word from the word list, a list of radiology reports including the inputted word and the selected word is generated. In response to an input operation using the operating part of selecting any report from the radiology report list, the selected radiology report is outputted from the archive to a display.

Report searching apparatus and a method for searching a report

A fire sensing unit is provided with apparatus which sends out a code identifying the type of sensor apart from transmission of the quantized signals of the analog output of the sensor of the sensing unit. Thus the data processing unit of the receiving unit of a fire detection system including the sensor can be simplified because the receiving unit need not collate the types of the installed sensors with a list of addresses stored therein. Also replacement of sensors can be easily effected since the information regarding the type of sensors is stored in the sensing unit.

In a smoke detector of the type in which smoke is detected in a detection chamber based upon a variation of an ionization current flowing therein or a variation of light beam passing therethrough, there is provided a reference signal generating section which produces a reference signal having a predetermined characteristic corresponding to typical smoke flowing into the detection chamber when a fire occurs, and a signal comparison section which compares a detection signal detected in the detection chamber with the reference signal, wherein a smoke sensing signal is produced when the detection signal is determined as a signal due to a fire but is not produced when the detection signal is determined as the signal due to the entry of an insect into the detection chamber or due to cigarette's smoke flowing thereinto.
