A vessel includes a vessel body, an engine contained in the vessel body, an air intake box including an air intake port and that is attached to the engine, an air intake duct drawn around in the vessel body, and a guide duct including an opening that opposes the air intake port. The air intake box supplies air taken in from the air intake port to the engine. The air intake duct includes an outer end connected to a deck of the vessel body. The guide duct guides air taken in from outside the vessel body by the air intake duct to the opening.

Vessel

A jet propelled watercraft includes a reverse gate that moves to a first position and to a second position. When the reverse gate is in the first position, the reverse gate causes a vessel body to move forward. When the reverse gate is in the second position, the reverse gate causes the vessel body to decelerate or move backward. A velocity mode selector is used to select a normal mode or a velocity mode. The velocity mode has a maximum velocity different from that of the normal mode. When the reverse gate is in the second position and the velocity mode is selected, a controller is configured or programmed to set an upper limit of an engine rotation speed in the velocity mode to be different from that of the engine rotation speed in the normal mode.

Jet propelled watercraft

A jet propulsion boat includes a boat body, a jet propelling apparatus configured to propel the boat body, an engine configured to drive the jet propelling apparatus, and an ECU. The ECU is configured or programmed to determine that a deceleration operation is performed when an amount of operation of a first accelerator operation section is greater than an amount of operation of a second accelerator operation section. The ECU sets an upper limit value for the number of revolutions of the engine to a first predetermined value if the boat body is in a first speed traveling state and the boat body is in a turning state.

Jet propulsion boat

A jet propelled watercraft includes a prime mover, a jet pump driven by the prime mover and jetting water from a jet port, a reverse gate changing a direction of the jet flow jetted from the jet pump, a shift actuator capable of moving the reverse gate to a plurality of shift positions, a reverse gate operator configured to set a position of the reverse gate, and a controller configured or programmed to prohibit startup of the prime mover when it is determined that the reverse gate operator is being operated.

A jet propelled watercraft includes a vessel body, a jet propulsion mechanism, an engine, at least one switch, and an emergency contact unit. The at least one switch includes an engine stop switch, a lanyard switch, and a rollover switch. The engine stop switch is configured to stop the engine in response to manual operation. The lanyard switch is configured to stop the engine in response to detachment of a lanyard. The rollover switch is configured to stop the engine in response to rollover of the vessel body. The emergency contact unit includes a determination portion and an instruction portion. The determination portion determines whether or not rescue is required based on the status of the at least one switch when the engine has been stopped. The instruction portion instructs transmission of a distress signal to a predetermined emergency contact when the determination portion has determined that rescue is required.
