A passenger protection device for a front passenger seat includes: an upper airbag that is installed in a front header of a vehicle, and is configured to inflate and deploy at a time of a frontal collision of the vehicle so as to be supported by a windshield from a front side of the vehicle; and a lower airbag that is provided separately from the upper airbag and installed at a front end of a vehicle cabin below the windshield in a vehicle height direction, the lower airbag being configured to inflate and deploy at the time of the frontal collision so as to be supported by a dashboard including an instrument panel from the front side of the vehicle.

Passenger protection device for front passenger seat

A passenger restraining device for a vehicle having a three-point seatbelt device, a shoulder belt extending from above, a seat transverse direction one end side of a seatback of a vehicle seat toward a lower portion; a belt guide at an upper portion side of the seat transverse direction one end side of the seatback, through which the shoulder belt is inserted, that's disposed along a restrained surface of a passenger seated in the vehicle; a fixing portion fixes a rear end portion of the belt guide to a seat shoulder opening at the seat transverse direction one end side of an upper portion of the seatback; and a front side portion at a length direction front side of the belt guide, in a usual state, disposed further toward a vehicle front side than a collarbone of the passenger seated in the vehicle, and structured to be hard to bend.

Passenger restraining device for vehicle

A side airbag device-installed vehicle seat including a side frame, a side airbag, a front side cover, and a low extendibility member is provided. The side frame is disposed within a side section of a seatback. The side airbag is stowed within the side section, receives gas supplied from an inflator to inflate and deploy alongside a seated occupant, and includes an inner bag that inflates between the side frame and the seated occupant. The front side cover configures part of a cover of the seatback, and is interposed between the inner bag and the seated occupant when the inner bag is inflated. The low extendibility member is configured to stretch less readily than the front side cover, and is bound to a back face of the front side cover.

Side airbag device-installed vehicle seat

In a vehicle seat, a gas generating device of a side airbag apparatus is attached to the inside of an outer side frame in a seat-width direction. When a seated occupant is a three-dimensional mannequin of AM50, a portion of the gas generating device overlaps a back pan of the three-dimensional mannequin as viewed in a seat front-rear direction. Here, in a plan section of a seat back in a range in which the gas generating device is positioned in a seat up-down direction, when an imaginary line overlapping a section of the back pan is moved back toward a seat rear side until the imaginary line comes into contact with a side spring portion of a seat back spring, the gas generating device is positioned rearward of a moved-back imaginary line in the seat front-rear direction and outward of the moved-back imaginary line in the seat-width direction.

Vehicle seat with side airbags apparatus

A vehicle seat includes an outer side frame, an inflator, and a side airbag including a front chamber and a rear chamber. The inflator is configured such that the rear chamber inflates and deploys faster at a higher pressure than a front chamber, and the side airbag is stored in a side portion in a state in which the side airbag straddles the outer side frame from a vehicle front side in a vehicle-width direction and a portion of the side airbag including the front chamber is folded outward of the outer side frame in the vehicle-width direction.

Vehicle seat with side airbag apparatus

In a vehicular seat installed with a side airbag device, an inside bag completes inflation and deployment earlier than a side air bag body, on the inner side of the side airbag body in the vehicle width direction, and presses an occupant inward in the vehicle width direction. The inside bag inflates and deploys at an upper level than the abdominal region of the occupant. Further, reaction force is applied inward in the vehicle width direction from a reaction force plate supported by an outer side frame, to the inside bag. The reaction force plate extends in a vehicle front-back direction, and extends toward the front of the vehicle beyond a front edge portion of the outer side frame.
