Unidirectional clutch

The present invention provides a roller type one-way clutch comprising an outer race in which pockets provided at their inner surfaces with cam surfaces are formed, an inner race spaced apart from the outer race in a radial inner diameter side and disposed coaxially with the outer race for a relative rotational movement and having an annular outer peripheral track surface, a roller disposed within the pocket to be engaged with the cam surfaces and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, and an accordion spring disposed within the pocket and adapted to bias the rollers to be engaged with the cam surfaces, and wherein one end of each accordion spring is secured to an axial end face of the outer race.

Roller-type one-way clutch

The present invention provides a roller type one-way clutch comprising an outer race in which pockets provided at their inner surfaces with cam surfaces are formed, an inner race spaced apart from the outer race in a radial inner diameter side and disposed coaxially with the outer race for a relative rotational movement and having an annular outer peripheral track surface, a plurality of rollers disposed within the pockets to be engaged with the cam surfaces and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, a holder having a cylindrical portion and windows provided in the cylindrical portion to hold the plurality of rollers, and springs disposed within the pockets between the outer race and the inner race and adapted to bias the rollers to be engaged with the cam surfaces, and wherein the holder is rotatable relative to the outer race and biasing forces of the springs are transmitted to the holder via the rollers.

A one-way clutch of roller type comprises an outer race having pockets provided at their inner peripheries with cam surfaces, an inner race arranged in an inner diameter side of the outer race coaxially, a plurality of rollers disposed in the pockets and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race when engaged by the cam surfaces, and accordion springs disposed in the pockets between the outer race and the rollers and having one ends secured to an axial end face of the outer race and adapted to bias the rollers toward engagement directions with respect to the cam surfaces, and the axial end face of the outer race is provided with a discriminating area to which the accordion springs are secured, and the discriminating area is capable of being discriminated from the other areas.

One-way clutch of roller type for starter of motor bike

The present invention provides a one-way clutch comprising an outer race, an inner race, a roller adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, a cage having a window for holding the roller, a spring disposed in the pocket and adapted to bias the roller toward an engagement direction with respect to the cam surface, and a side plate provided at its inner diameter portion with spline grooves into which a crankshaft of an engine is fitted, and wherein the side plate is secured to the outer race by inserting rivets into through holes provided in the outer race and through holes provided in the side plate and by caulking the rivets.

One-way clutch of roller type

A one-way clutch comprising an outer race having at least one pocket and a stepped portion formed on an axial one end face of the outer race; an inner race spaced apart from and radially inside of the outer race and coaxially arranged for a relative rotational movement; a roller disposed in the pocket and adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race ; a cage rotatable relative to the outer race and having a window formed in a cylindrical portion and having a circumferential width smaller than a diameter of the roller and adapted to hold the roller; and a spring disposed in the pocket and adapted to bias the roller toward an engagement direction with respect to a cam surface; wherein a cover portion for covering at least a part of the pocket is provided on the other axial end face of the outer race.

A roller-type one-way clutch includes an outer race with a pocket with a cam surface, an inner race, and a plurality of rollers disposed on the pocket, engaged in the cam surface, and transmitting torque between the outer race and the inner race. The clutch further includes a cage provided with a cylindrical part and a window provided in the cylindrical part, holding the plurality of rollers, and a spring provided on the pocket, one end of which is latched to the outer race, and the other end of which is configured for preventing movement of the rollers in the axial direction. The spring energizes the rollers in the engagement direction with the cam surface, and the cage is configured so that it is prevented from dropping off in the axial direction.

The present invention provides a one-way clutch comprising an outer race, an inner race, a roller adapted to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race, a cage having a window for holding the roller, a spring disposed in the pocket between the outer race and the roller and adapted to bias the roller toward an engagement direction with respect to the cam surface and having one end and the other end which include tab portions bent non-straightly from a main body portion, one of the tab portions being locked to an axial end face of the outer race, the other tab portion being pinched between an axial end face of the roller and a flange portion of the cage, and wherein one end of the spring is secured to the outer race and the other end is engaged by the roller, and the one end and the other end are connected to the main body portion of the spring via bent portions, and the bent portions are provided with interference preventing portions for interfering the bent portions with the outer race and the roller, respectively.

The present invention provides a roller-type one-way clutch comprising an annular outer race provided at its inner periphery with a cam surface, an inner race spaced apart from the outer race in a radially inner diameter side and disposed coaxially with the outer race for a relative movement therewith and having an annular outer peripheral track surface, a plurality of rollers disposed between the outer race and the inner race and adapted to transmit torque between the outer peripheral track surface and the cam surface, a cage for holding the plurality of rollers, and a C-shaped annular spring for biasing the rollers, through the cage, toward engagement with the cam surface.

The present invention provides, a roller-type one-way clutch comprising an annular outer race provided at its inner periphery with a cam surface, an inner race spaced apart from the outer race in a radially inner diameter side and disposed in coaxial with the outer race for a relative movement therewith and having an annular outer peripheral track surface, a plurality of rollers disposed between the outer race and the inner race and adapted to transmit torque between the outer peripheral track surface and the cam surface, a cage for holding the plurality of rollers, and a C-shaped annular spring for biasing the rollers toward a direction in which the rollers are engaged by the cam surface, through the cage, and wherein the C-shaped annular spring is assembled in a diameter-enlarged condition.

One-way clutch

A one-way clutch, for example, of a sprag or cam design is provided with a cage arranged between an outer ring and an inner ring. The cage has a flange portion extending outwardly in a radial direction. A slit is arranged at a location on a circle of the cage such that the cage is cut off to discontinue in a circumferential direction thereof. The flange portion has an outer diameter greater than an inner diameter of the outer ring. Preferably, the slit can be an opening formed upon the cut-off by working residual stresses occurred when the cage was pressed into an annular form.

In a vehicle starter apparatus incorporating therein a starting motor and a one-way clutch, a damper for mitigating vibration of an engine is disposed at a position between the one-way clutch and the engine, and at the same time, between the engine and a transmission.
