A power supply device includes a photovoltaic power generator, a secondary battery unit, a charger configured to supply power from the photovoltaic power generator to the secondary battery unit, a DC-AC power conversion circuit configured to convert a discharge output of the secondary battery unit into AC power, and a control device configured to control charging of the secondary battery unit based on a load power prediction obtained by a moving average of used power and an amount of power generated by the photovoltaic power generator and perform control to switch output of the amount of power generated by the photovoltaic power generator between the secondary battery unit and a commercial system power based on a value of state of charge (SOC) of the secondary battery unit.

A power supply control device includes a control unit, and a power path that is connected to a primary external power system. If a connection state between the primary external power system and the power path is in a disconnected state, the control unit is configured to control power output of at least one power conditioner of at least one corresponding secondary external power generation unit, based on (a) an amount of power consumption of a specific load connected to the power supply control device through the power path, and (b) a power generation output of the secondary external power generation unit.

A battery includes an outer package including a laminated film including one or more resin layers, a terminal, and a melt-bonding assisting member including a thermoplastic resin and extending along the terminal. Provided is a power supply apparatus including a power storage module, a DC-AC inverter, a bypass circuit, and a controller. The DC-AC inverter converts output of the power storage module into AC power. The bypass circuit directly transmits the AC power. The controller switches between a discharge mode for supplying output of the DC-AC inverter to a load, and a bypass mode for supplying output of the bypass circuit to the load. A threshold for switching between the discharge mode and the bypass mode is set to a range that enables the power storage module to provide output in an overload state.

Provided is a battery having an outer package made of a laminated film, and further with a terminal having a plate-form first metal layer, and second metal layers laid over both surfaces of the first metal layer, respectively. The terminal is sandwiched between portions of the resin layer or between the resin layers, and at its sandwiched region the second metal layers of the terminal contact the resin layer(s) of the laminated film.

In a battery having a aluminum or aluminum alloy casing welded to and aluminum or aluminum alloy cover, a film of a synthetic resin and a corrosion preventing agent is formed on the outer surface of the battery raising and an electrolyte comprising hydrofluoric acid is placed in the casing. The film is capable of absorbing hydrofluoric acid. In an alternative embodiment, the exterior film may be a ceramic material capable of absorbing hydrofluoric acid.

Both life and capacity of the battery can be maximized by a user selecting either of the two operation modes, or switching between the two operation modes automatically with a timer device, or according to a temperature of the battery, state of health thereof, or internal pressure thereof.
