The blow molded preform of a laminated wall structure comprises a bulging shoulder portion, which has a diameter that widens slightly in the downward direction; a bottom shell portion for molding the bottom, which has been blow molded from the corresponding portion of parison P so as to have a widened and deformed shape; an inner overhang wall portion in any position starting from the opposite side of the neck ring and ending at the upper portion of the bulging shoulder portion, with the inner wall portion having a diameter that widens in the downward direction; and/or a radially widened connecting portion of an arced shape, which has a larger diameter than the barrel portion so that the entire bottom including the bottom shell portion takes a bulging spherical shape. With this configuration, no thick area is formed in the inner overhang wall portion on the opposite side of the neck ring and/or in the pinch-off portion.

Synthetic resin preform to be biaxially stretched and blow molded into a bottle

A blow-molded container is provided, which has a low blow ratio and good appearances with no flash line, glossy spot, and/or color spot on the sidewall of the container near the bottom. The mold created for this purpose is used in blow molding and is characterized in that a split mold has a mold parting face perpendicular to the mold-clamping direction, splits into front and rear mold halves, and has a mold pinch-off section, which is used to pinch off parison P and is provided with pinch-off blades on bottom surface of mold cavity bottom. In the cross-sectional plan view of said split mold in its closed state, a bottom parting line is formed by a linear pinch-off line, which is formed on the bottom surface by the pinch-off blades, a pair of mold parting lines formed by said mold parting face on the right and left peripheries, and a pair of connecting lines that connects the right and left ends of said pinch-off line with the inner ends of said right and left mold parting lines. The all or those portions of said connecting lines that lie adjacent to said pinch-off line are formed by end parting faces located at right and left ends of the pinch-off section of said split mold so that a pair of roughly right-angled bent corners is formed by all or those adjacent portions of said connecting lines and said pinch-off line.

Blow-molded container and mold for use in blow molding

A container has a body which comprises front end rear walls, and the side walls. Each of the front and rear walls has an elliptic cross section, and is provided with a lateral recess. Each of the side walls is a vertical plan which intersects the elliptic cross section of the front and rear walls, and is provided with a plurality of reinforcements. The container has a bottom which comprises a peripheral wall connected to the body and a bottom wall. The peripheral wall comprises slightly inclined front and rear walls, and side walls inclined by a predetermined angle. The peripheral wall is provided with a reinforcing rib.

It is an object of the present invention to prevent the edge of the in-molded label from the crack due to the impact of dropping the container, especially to prevent the occurrence of the crack on the thin synthetic resin container and to provide the synthetic resin container which a reinforce rib is disposed on the wall surface of the container body corresponding to the edge of the in-molded label to surround the label edge or to locate the label edge in said rib.
