There is provided a camera of which operability is good regardless of the brightness of the surrounding environment. The brightness of the surrounding environment is detected by a brightness detection unit provided in a camera. The contents of settings of the camera are displayed on a sub-displayin a situation in which the surrounding environment is bright. The contents of settings of the camera and an image representing the set state of a shutter speed dialare displayed on the sub-displayin a case in which the surrounding environment is dark.

Disclosed are a distance image acquisition apparatus and a distance image acquisition method capable of acquiring a distance image with satisfactory accuracy based on a first pattern projected from a host apparatus even in a case where patterns of structured light having the same shape are projected simultaneously from the host apparatus and another apparatus. A distance image acquisition apparatus () includes a projection unit () which projects a pattern of structured light, a light modulation unit () which modulates a switching timing of projection and non-projection of the pattern with a code, an imaging unit () which is provided in parallel with and apart from the projection unit () by a baseline length, performs imaging in synchronization with a projection period and a non-projection period of the pattern, and generates a first captured image captured in the projection period of the pattern and a second captured image captured in the non-projection period of the pattern, a differential image generation unit (D) which generates a differential image of the first captured image and the second captured image, a pattern extraction unit (A) which extracts the pattern from the differential image, and a distance image acquisition unit (B) which acquires a distance image indicating a distance of a subject within a distance measurement region based on the pattern extracted by the pattern extraction unit (A).

Distance image acquisition apparatus and distance image acquisition method

A distance image acquisition apparatus includes a projection unit which performs a plurality of times of light emission with a plurality of light emission intensities to project a first pattern of structured light onto a subject within a distance measurement region, an imaging unit which is provided in parallel with and apart from the projection unit by a baseline length, images the subject in synchronization with each of the plurality of times of light emission, and generates a plurality of captured images corresponding to the plurality of light emission intensities, a normalization unit which normalizes a plurality of captured images with coefficients corresponding to the plurality of light emission intensities to acquire a plurality of normalized images, a discrimination unit which compares a plurality of normalized images and discriminates the first pattern projected from the projection unit, and a distance image acquisition unit.

A distance image acquisition apparatus includes a projection unit which projects a first pattern of structured light in a plurality of wavelength bandwidths, an imaging unit which is provided in parallel with and apart from the projection unit by a baseline length, performs imaging with sensitivities to a plurality of wavelength bandwidths, and generates a plurality of captured images corresponding to a plurality of wavelength bandwidths, a determination unit which determines whether or not a second pattern of structured light projected from another distance image acquisition apparatus is included in the captured images, and a pattern extraction unit which extracts the first pattern from a captured image determined as the second pattern being not included by the determination unit, and a distance image acquisition unit which acquires a distance image indicating a distance of a subject within a distance measurement region based on the first pattern.

The distance image acquisition apparatus () includes a projection unit () which projects a first pattern of structured light distributed in a two-dimensional manner with respect to a subject within a distance measurement region, a light modulation unit () which spatially modulates the first pattern projected from the projection unit (), an imaging unit () which is provided in parallel with and apart from the projection unit () by a baseline length, and captures an image including the first pattern reflected from the subject within the distance measurement region, a pattern extraction unit (A) which extracts the first pattern spatially modulated by the light modulation unit () from the image captured by the imaging unit (), and a distance image acquisition unit (B) which acquires a distance image indicating a distance of the subject within the distance measurement region based on the first pattern.

A light shielding film, an insulating layer, a planarizing layer, and a color filter are formed consecutively on a semiconductor substrate having plural photodiodes in a matrix arrangement. A transparent conductive film is formed on the color filter, and micro-lenses are formed directly on the conductive film such that they reside above each photodiode. Static charges on a surface of each micro-lens are discharged to the conductive film, and static charge buildup on the micro-lenses is therefore prevented.

A solid-state imaging device including a photoelectric conversion portion and a charge transfer portion equipped with charge transfer electrodes to transfer the charge generated in the photoelectric conversion portion, wherein the charge transfer portion is provided with a charge transfer electrodes having a first electrode including a first layer electric conductive film, and a second electrode having a second layer electric conductive film provided contiguously to the first electrode with an electrode insulating film therebetween, and the first electrode is coated with a silicon oxide film that is the electrode insulating film formed by side wall oxidation in the state that the upside is coated with an antioxidizing film so as to coat the side wall.
