A parking assembly includes a parking gear in a rotary member included in the first power transmission that transmits power between a rotary electric machine and wheels and movable with the wheels, an engagement member selectively engageable with the parking gear, and a second power transmission that transmits power to the engagement member. The parking gear is coaxial with the rotary electric machine. A reservoir and the second power transmission are located above the first power transmission. An area of the reservoir in a front-rear direction, an area of the first power transmission in the front-rear direction, and an area of the second power transmission in the front-rear direction overlap an area of the rotary electric machine in the front-rear direction.

A vehicle drive device includes a first catch tank that stores oil splashed by a differential input gear in response to a rotor rotating in a first rotation direction and stores oil splashed by a first counter gear in response to the rotor rotating in a second rotation direction reverse to the first rotation direction and a second catch tank that stores oil splashed by the first counter gear in response to the rotor rotating in the second rotation direction. A direction in which a rotating electrical machine and an inverter device are arranged side by side in an axial view is defined as a first direction. A direction perpendicular to both an axial direction and the first direction is defined as a second direction. A first output member that is one of the pair of output members is placed between the rotating electrical machine and the inverter device in the first direction, at a position in the second direction where both the rotating electrical machine and the inverter device are placed. The output gear is placed in such a manner as to overlap each of the rotating electrical machine and the inverter device in the axial view.
