According to one embodiment, a vehicle controller includes an electric power converter, a plurality of first electric power transmission members, a temperature sensor, and a first controller. The electric power converter converts input electric power and outputs the converted electric power. The plurality of first electric power transmission members transmit the input electric power and are connected in parallel to the electric power converter. The temperature sensor is connected to at least one of the plurality of first electric power transmission members. The first controller determines that at least one of the plurality of first electric power transmission members is disconnected when a temperature detected by the temperature sensor changes.

Vehicle controller and electric vehicle

According to one embodiment, an electric power conversion system includes a convertor, a detector, a delay controller, and a determinator. The detector is configured to detect information related to a voltage of electric power converted by the converter. The delay controller is configured to delay a conversion operation start of the converter by a first predetermined time with respect to a supply start time at which supply of the electric power is started. The determinator is configured to perform a first determination on the basis of a detection result detected by the detector before elapse of the first predetermined time from the supply start tune, and to perform a second determination on the basis of a detection result detected by the detector after the elapse of the first predetermined time from the supply start time.

Electric power conversion system

A power conversion system includes a transformer, a power conversion device for travel, a power conversion device for auxiliary power sources, an electrical storage device, and an auxiliary device. The power conversion device for travel converts AC power into power for travel and supplies it to a travel motor. The power conversion device for auxiliary power sources includes an AC to DC conversion unit which converts AC power into DC power, a power conversion unit for AC loads which converts the DC power into AC power and supplies it to an AC load, and a power conversion unit for DC loads which converts DC power to DC power and supplies it to a DC load. The electrical storage device is connected to power lines connecting DC power output terminals of the AC to DC conversion unit and DC power input terminals of both the power conversion units for AC and DC loads. The auxiliary device is connected to power lines connecting the power conversion device for auxiliary power sources and the electrical storage device and operates with power supplied from the electrical storage device.

Power conversion system

A power conversion system includes an AC to DC conversion circuit, a voltage detector, a step-down chopper circuit, a power conversion device for auxiliary power sources, and a control unit. The AC to DC conversion circuit converts AC power supplied from overhead wires via a transformer into DC power. The voltage detector detects a voltage of AC power supplied from the transformer. The step-down chopper circuit steps down the voltage of DC power produced through conversion by the AC to DC conversion circuit. The power conversion device for auxiliary power sources converts the DC power stepped down by the step-down chopper circuit into power for driving loads mounted in an electric vehicle and supplies it to the loads. The control unit controls the AC to DC conversion circuit and the step-down chopper circuit such that the voltage of AC power detected by the voltage detector approaches a reference voltage.

A power conversion system includes a transformer, a power conversion device for travel, a power conversion device for auxiliary power sources, and an electrical storage device. The power conversion device for auxiliary power sources includes a first AC to DC conversion unit, a power conversion unit for AC loads, and a power conversion unit for DC loads. The power conversion unit for AC loads converts DC power into AC power and supplies it to an AC load. The power conversion unit for DC loads converts DC power produced through conversion by the first AC to DC conversion unit into DC power and supplies it to a DC load. The electrical storage device is connected to power lines connecting DC power output terminals of the first AC to DC conversion unit and DC power input terminals of both the power conversion units for AC and DC loads. When power supplied from a tertiary winding of the transformer to the first AC to DC conversion unit is reduced, the electrical storage device discharges power corresponding to the power reduction.

A car control device according to an embodiment includes a converter and an inverter, a first contactor disposed between the transformer and the converter, a second contactor and a resistor connected in series with each other and in parallel with the first contactor, a first voltage detector and a second voltage detector disposed between the converter and the inverter, and a control unit. After the second contactor is closed and before the first contactor is closed, the control unit calculates a voltage difference between a first voltage value detected by the first voltage detector and a second voltage value detected by the second voltage detector, compares the calculated voltage difference with a predefined threshold value, and determines that at least one of the first voltage detector and the second voltage detector malfunctions when the voltage difference is greater than the threshold value.

Car control device

An electric vehicle control device includes: a plurality of motors capable of transmitting motive power to a wheel of an electric vehicle; an inverter that supplies electric power to drive the motors; and a controller that controls the inverter and compares, when the electric vehicle drives under a certain velocity condition, a q-axis voltage feedforward value VqFF and a q-axis voltage command value Vq* used for controlling driving of the motors, to detect an occurrence of miswire between the motors and the inverter when the following inequation is satisfied: VqFF&#x2265;1.5&#xb7;Vq*.

Electric vehicle control device

A vehicle control device according to one embodiment includes an inverter converting a DC power to a three-phase AC power and supplying the three-phase AC power to a motor driving a vehicle. A detector detects a current value between the inverter and the motor. A controller PWM-controls the inverter based on a current value detected by the detector, a speed command signal, and a rotor frequency of the motor. The controller determines occurrence of a malfunction when a PWM modulation rate is equal to or higher than a predetermined value and the rotor frequency is equal to or lower than a predetermined value.

Vehicle control device and railroad vehicle

According to one embodiment, an electric power conversion device includes an inverter which converts DC power into AC power and supplies the AC power to electric equipment of a railway vehicle, a battery capable of storing DC power, and a converter which converts the AC power into DC power and charges the battery. The battery supplies electric power to the inverter when the electric power is not supplied to the inverter from an external power source.
