A gas detecting device for a vehicle includes a casing which is formed therein with an air passage having an air inlet and an air outlet located above the air inlet. A filter is provided in the air passage below and downstream of a gas sensor. The filter has a lower end surface at a side of the air inlet and an upper end surface at a side of the gas sensor. The lower end surface of the filter works as an air-passing surface through which the air flows into the filter, while the upper end surface of the filter works as an air-passing surface through which the air flows out of the filter. A certain gap is provided between a lower portion of a side surface of the filter and an inner wall surface of the casing defining the air passage so that this lower portion of the filter also works as an air-passing surface through which the air flows into the filter. A labyrinth structure may be provided in the air passage between the air inlet and the filter for causing the air to meander at the labyrinth structure. Further, it may be arranged that the air passage has an opening area which is the greatest at the air inlet and then is gradually reduced as advancing toward the labyrinth structure.

Gas detecting device for vehicle

A liquid mixing ratio detecting apparatus is designed so that an oscillation voltage generated by an oscillation unit is applied to one of a differentiating circuit and an integrating circuit, which is constituted by a combination of a capacitor composed of a pair of opposite electrodes for detecting a mixing ratio of a mixed liquid and a resistor, and a mixing ratio detecting unit produces a signal relating to an inclination rate of one of a differential waveform signal and an integration waveform signal, which is generated by one of the differentiating circuit and the integrating circuit, respectively, thereby obtaining a signal representing the mixing ratio of the mixed liquid on the basis of the produced signal relating to the inclination rate of the waveform signal.

Apparatus for detecting a liquid mixing ratio

A vehicle height sensor includes a switching circuit which is turned on and off in accordance with a vehicle height. When a drive signal is outputted to the vehicle height sensor, the vehicle height sensor is activated. A connector is connected to an output side of the switching circuit. A digital vehicle height data signal is transmitted from the switching circuit via the connector. A preset signal is outputted from the vehicle height sensor to the connector when a check signal is generated. The preset signal represents preset check data. A data receives the preset signal via the connector and reads the check data from the preset signal. The read check data is compared with a predetermined reference data. The connector is judged to be wrong when the read check data differs from the reference data.
