A plate is used for a sole that forms a part of a shoe. The plate includes a mid- and rear-foot support portion in a shape extending from a position superimposed on a rear end portion of a metatarsal bone of a wearer of the shoe in a thickness direction of the sole to a position superimposed on a heel bone of the wearer, the mid- and rear-foot support portion supporting a midfoot portion and a rear foot portion of the wearer. The mid- and rear-foot support portion is in a shape convex upward in a cross-section in a foot width direction.

Shoe sole

A shoe sole includes a body portion and a heel holding portion. The heel holding portion is located opposite to a ground contact surface of the body portion and holds a heel portion of a foot at least from a medial foot side. The body portion includes a low hardness portion and a high hardness portion. The high hardness portion is a foam material harder than a foam material of the low hardness portion. The heel holding portion is a resin harder than the foam material of the low hardness portion and the foam material of the high hardness portion. On the medial foot side in a rear foot portion, the low hardness portion is located between the heel holding portion and the high hardness portion in an up-down direction.

A sole includes a midsole. The midsole includes: a first support portion that is configured to support a front portion of an MP joint of a wearer's foot; and a second support portion that is configured to support a rear portion of the MP joint of the wearer's foot, the second support portion having a shape extending rearward from the first support portion in a foot length direction. The first support portion has an elastic modulus lower than an elastic modulus of the second support portion. The midsole includes a thenar region surrounded by a first portion, a second portion, a third portion, and a fourth portion. A boundary portion between the first support portion and the second support portion passes through the thenar region.

The bottom partincludes: a rear bottom surface partformed to extend from a rearfoot to a midfoot portion and to be, when the shoe sole is placed on a virtual surface S as a flat surface, in contact with the virtual surface S; and a toe portionof which a height from the virtual surface S is set to 100% or greater and 250% or less with respect to a thickness in the rear bottom surface part. The deformation restraining partis disposed in an edge part on a medial side and a lateral side of the bottom partand extends from a forefoot to the midfoot portion along the bottom part. An upper includes an upper main body that covers an instep of a foot. A first region and a second region adjacent to the first region are formed in the upper main body. The upper main body includes: a first linear body provided across the first region and the second region or provided only in the second region; and a second linear body provided in the first region while avoiding the second region and having an end located at a boundary portion between the first region and the second region. The first linear body and the second linear body have mutually different stretchability.

A shoe sole includes a sole body portion and a plate portion. The sole body portion is located to continuously extend from a front foot portion to a rear foot portion. The plate portion is located to continuously extend from the front foot portion to the rear foot portion, joined to the sole body portion, and formed of a material higher in rigidity than a material forming the sole body portion. The plate portion includes an exposed region and an accommodated region. The exposed region forms a ground contact surface of the shoe sole at least in the front foot portion. The accommodated region is accommodated inside the sole body portion at least in the rear foot portion. In at least a part of the middle foot portion and at least a part of the rear foot portion, the plate portion is inclined upward as it extends rearward.

A plate includes: a curved portion located in a forefoot region and shaped to curve toward a flat plane; a midfoot supporting portion located in a midfoot region; and a rear-foot supporting portion located in a rear foot region. The curved portion has a wide region including a wide portion of which dimension in a width direction is largest in the curved portion. The midfoot supporting portion has a narrow region including a narrow portion of which dimension in the width direction is smallest in the midfoot supporting portion. A ratio of a bending rigidity of the narrow region to a bending rigidity of the wide region is 0.4 or more and 0.85 or less.
