The present invention provides a thermoelectric conversion module which can utilize sunlight and solar heat by using high output charge-transport-type thermoelectric conversion elements. The present invention provides A thermoelectric conversion module which comprises at least a thermoelectric conversion module-element in which charge-transport-type thermoelectric conversion elements are formed and a photothermal conversion substrate containing photothermal conversion material, wherein the thermoelectric conversion module-element comprises an insulating substrate, and n-type and/or p-type charge-transport-type thermoelectric conversion elements are formed on the insulating substrate, wherein the charge-transport-type thermoelectric conversion element comprises a charge transport layer and thermoelectric conversion material layers and electrodes, wherein the photothermal conversion substrate is disposed so that it absorbs external light and converts it into heat and transfers the heat to the electrodes or the thermoelectric conversion material layers disposed on the charge transport layers.

A vapor deposition apparatus for depositing thin film on substrates in which solid starting materials are used. In this apparatus, a carrier gas flows up and down in the same direction as gas convection, such that the effect of gas convection is minimized and film thickness and impurity concentration are uniform over the substrate surface. This uniformity is achieved by orienting a main reaction tube in a vertical direction, attaching two branch reaction tubes at the top of the main reaction tube, and venting carrier gas out the bottom of the main reaction tube. Alternately, the main reaction tube can be oriented horizontally, with the substrates being carried on a holder within a container having pores on its top and bottom.

A method for fabricating an electroluminescence display device is disclosed. The fabricating method includes steps of forming at least one transparent front electrode on a transparent substrate, forming a lower electrically insulating layer on the front electrode, forming an emitting layer of an electroluminescent material on the lower electrically insulating layer, forming an upper electrically insulating layer on the emitting layer, and forming at least one rear electrode on the upper electrically insulating layer. In the fabricating method, at least one of the lower and upper electrically insulating layers is composed of at least one film of Si.sub.x N.sub.y O.sub.z :H, and the si.sub.x N.sub.y O.sub.z :H film is formed by the plasma chemical vapor deposition method.

A thin film electroluminescent panel includes a transparent substrate with an electroluminescent element formed on the substrate. There is a moisture proof sheet to cover the electroluminescent element. The moisture proof sheet includes a metal layer laminated between the two resin films. The periphery of the moisture proof sheet is adhered to the transparent substrate. There is a moisture proof sheet with a moisture absorbent powder thereon, located between the electroluminescent element and the moisture proof sheet. The combination prevents moisture from affecting the operation of the electroluminescent element and provides for stability.
