User data and redundant codes are stored in a distributed manner, and data is read while suppressing performance degradation due to the occurrence of a failure. If a first node in a distributed storage system receives a read request from a host to read the user data when a storage device of its own node is blocked, the first node executes a first collection read request which requests recovery of data from the secondary redundant code corresponding to target data of the read request; and if at least part of the target data has failed to be recovered according to the first collection read request, regarding insufficient data among a plurality of pieces of data which are necessary to recover the target data by using the primary redundant code, the first node executes a second collection read request which requests recovery of the insufficient data from the secondary redundant code.

Data recovery of distributed data using redundant codes

Proposed is a scale-out-type storage system which implements high-availability, high-speed failover. In a scale-out-type storage system, two or more nodes each comprise a cluster controller, a node controller, a plurality of subcluster processes (subclusters and the like) which are processes which execute I/O processing in their own node, which form a subcluster between processes in their own node, and which are synchronized with work-type (active)/standby-type (passive) corresponding processes in the other nodes, and a nonvolatile data store (SODB). The configuration information of the storage system is held partitioned into global configuration information of the SODB and local configuration information and the like of the subclusters and the like, and thereupon the working-type subcluster is capable of executing I/O processing without accessing the SODB.

Scale-out storage system and configuration information control method for implementing high-availability, high-speed failover

A data transmission device includes a unit that changes the number and combination of optical communication paths forming a virtual communication path. The data transmission device has functions of forming a virtual communication path by connecting only the number of optical communication paths satisfying a required bandwidth and of turning off operation circuits forming unconnected optical communication paths.

Data transmission device

A gateway selector and a load distribution management device are provided between a user terminal and plural gateway devices. Of response packets received from the plural gateway devices, the gateway selector selects a response packet from a gateway device with a higher priority, according to the priority in a load distribution management table of the load distribution management device. Then, the gateway selector transfers the selected response packet to the user terminal, while discarding a response packet from another gateway device. In this way, it is possible to construct a redundant configuration of the gateway devices, independent of user terminal implementation.

To implement a calling party number anonymous service in an IP telephone service. An IP telephone terminal adds the setting of requesting a Pool IP address along with a normal IP address to a REGISTER message directed from the IP telephone terminal to an SIP server and requests the assignment of a temporary IP address if receiving an anonymous call incoming request message. The SIP server makes the temporary assignment of the Pool IP address and notifies the temporary IP address to a called party IP telephone terminal by adding it to an INVITE message, if the called IP address of the anonymous call incoming request INVITE message is the IP telephone terminal. The called IP telephone terminal receiving the assignment of the temporary IP address can make the connection, communication and disconnection processes employing the temporary IP address as the self IP address in the following dialog.

Communication system, session control management server and session control method

In a telephone network, an incoming call is once received using an automatic voice response. A ring tone is not played immediately after the incoming. In the automatic response, an authorization sound that is necessary every time connection to the caller is made is generated each time by superimposing a background sound on a random number generated through random number generation processing. The caller is notified of the authorization sound. A ring tone is played in response to only incoming calls that return a valid response value, and not played in response to incoming calls that return an invalid response value.

Selective response unit

When an IP terminal on the Internet side transmits a name resolution request, which requests to resolve the FQDN of a public server connected to a router, to a SIP/DNS server in which SIP and DNS cooperate to manage the status of the data line of the router and when the data communication line status of the router is a disconnect status, a data communication line connection request instruction is transmitted to the router. The router connects the data communication line and notifies the SIP/DNS server about the result. The SIP/DNS server transmits the IP address of the router to the IP terminal as a response.

Communication system and control server

In a packet forwarding apparatus including first line interfaces accommodating user terminals, a second line interface connected to a communication node on a session management apparatus side, and a protocol processing unit for updating a connection management table and a header information table when a specific session control packet is received from one of the first line interfaces. Upon receiving a real-time packet from one of the first line interfaces, if a table entry corresponding to the header information of the received packet has been registered in the connection management table, the control unit routes the received packet to one of the first line interfaces after rewriting its header information based on the header information table, and if the table entry has not been registered, the control unit routes the received packet as it is to the second line interface.

Packet forwarding apparatus suitable for real time packets

A user terminal connection control method to limit the number of sessions simultaneously connectable to the Internet, wherein an access server or authentication server has a user management table for specifying the maximum number of connections and a preferential terminal identifier indicating a user terminal to be preferentially connected to the Internet for each group comprising a plurality of user identifiers. The access server or authentication server determines, during a communication procedure for authenticating a user who requests to access to the Internet, whether the current number of connections for a group to which the user belongs has reached the maximum number of connections, and if so, determines whether to allow the user terminal to connect to the Internet depending on whether the user terminal identifier matches the preferential terminal identifier.

User terminal connection control method and apparatus

A method for processing data received from at least one of VLANs, the method including: obtaining, based on a VLAN tag included in a MAC header of a MAC frame received from the VLAN and a first destination IP address included in an IP header of the MAC frame, a second destination IP address, changing the first destination IP address of the IP header to the second destination IP address, and generating an IP packet by deleting the MAC header from the MAC frame.

VLAN server

The access server receives an authentication packet including an authentication result, a port change setting information, a port change time, a filtering setting information and a filtering time from the authentication server. The access server stores the respective information in the authentication packet into a memory. The access server refers to the memory, and in the case where the port change setting information on an arbitrary user identifier is set to perform port change, when it becomes the port change time, the access server changes the output destination of a packet from a user terminal to, for example, a proxy server B from a proxy server A. Besides, in the case where the filtering setting information on an arbitrary user identifier is set to perform filtering, when it becomes the filtering start time, the access server performs filtering on the port to which the user terminal is connected.

Access server and connection restriction method

An access node run as a packet switching apparatus enables IP connection services for a plurality of access methods; e.g., relatively low-speed IP connection, high-speed IP connection, and mobile network IP connection. By using this apparatus of the present invention, cost can be reduced and upgrading to advanced access networks and access services is easily carried out. Provision of the above access nodes implements upgrade-type network services common for diverse protocols. Each access node retains a pathfinding table to which input port, input tunnel identifier and input session identifier entries in a set are registered per session. When routing a packet, by looking up the set of these entries matching with the packet, the associated output port, output tunnel identifier, and output session identifier are obtained. After processing for the packet, appropriate for one of the plurality of access methods and network services, the node forwards the packet over the routed path.

In a network having an L2SW in which uplink VLAN is set, a transfer delay of a voice call packet is prevented. In a process of establishing a session between terminals (), a packet transfer device () stores information capable of specifying a sending terminal (-) and a receiving terminal (-) and a correspondence relation (user connection information) to a connection port into a table. A SIP message of a session control packet communicated between the terminals () is snooped, and a destination IP address, a transmission source IP address, a destination port number, a transmission source port number, a connection port etc. are stored into the table. In a case where an RTP packet as voice data is received after the session is established, the packet transfer device () performs a loopback transfer or transfers it to an uplink port in accordance with the table.

A packet forwarding apparatus comprises a plurality of line interfaces each for communicating with one of user terminals or one of redundant gateways, and a protocol processing unit for controlling packet forwarding among the line interfaces. The protocol processing unit forwards a connection initiation request packet received from a user terminal to the plurality of redundant gateways and forwards to the user terminal only one response packet which is selected according to connection load status information of each gateway stored in a load distribution management table from among a plurality of response packets received from the gateways within a predetermined period of time.
