A liquid crystal display device with a pair of substrates which are arranged to face each other with liquid crystal therebetween, columnar spacers having the substantially equal height formed on a liquid-crystal-side surface of one substrate, and the columnar spacers include the columnar spacer which is contact with a liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate and the columnar spacer which is not contact with the liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate.

An object of the present invention is to provide a display device where a display panel and a transparent cover which are pasted together can be separated from each other without breaking the liquid crystal display panel and the transparent cover. The present invention provides a display device having: a liquid crystal display panel having a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between a first substrate and a second substrate which is provided on the viewer side relative to the first substrate; a polarizing plate provided on the above described liquid crystal display panel on the above described viewer side; a viscous film pasted on the viewer side relative to the above described polarizing plate; and a transparent cover pasted on the viewer side relative to the above described viscous film, wherein the above described viscous film is made up of a multilayer body of gluing agents.

To prevent bubbles from remaining when a transparent substrate is bonded via an adhesive with a display panel. A manufacturing method of a display device in which a transparent substrate is bonded with a display panel via an adhesive, including a coating step of coating the adhesive onto the display panel or the transparent substrate in a predetermined pattern, a bonding step of bonding the display panel and the transparent substrate via the adhesive after the coating step, and a curing step of curing the adhesive after the bonding step, characterized in that the adhesive has a viscosity of 2000 to 5000 mPa&#xb7;s at the coating step, the display panel and the transparent substrate are bonded via the adhesive in a reduced pressure atmosphere lower than the atmospheric pressure in a state where the adhesive coated at the coating step is spread and the size of bubble is 1 mm or less at maximum at the bonding step, and the adhesive is cured by applying ultraviolet ray at the curing step.

Manufacturing method of display device

A production method of a liquid crystal display device that is constructed by placing liquid crystals between a first substrate and a second substrate. The production method includes a step of applying seal material onto the first substrate such that the seal material surrounds a liquid crystal filling area, and a step of bonding the first substrate and the second substrate together. The layer of the seal material is formed such that the thickness becomes smaller than the thickness of the liquid crystal layer in the portion corresponding to the display area when the first substrate and the second substrate are bonded together.

Liquid crystal display device and production method thereof

A liquid crystal display device which can prevent the generation of bubbles on an adhesive surface between a liquid crystal display panel and a face plate which protects the liquid crystal display panel is provided. In mounting the face plate on an upper polarizer of the liquid crystal display panel by way of an adhesive material, a picture frame is formed on a periphery of the face plate for enhancing design property. Although the picture frame is formed by printing black ink, a quantity of Si present in the black ink is set to not more than 0.7% and not less than 0.01% thus preventing the generation of bubbles attributed to defective adhesion between the face plate and the adhesive material.

A face plate on which a frame is formed for improved design aesthetics is bonded to a top surface of an upper polarizer of a liquid crystal display panel with a pressure-sensitive adhesive material. The frame on the face plate is formed from five layers of printing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive material has a three-layer structure having a first pressure-sensitive adhesive member, a base material, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive member. The first pressure-sensitive adhesive member is formed thicker than the second pressure-sensitive adhesive member, and hence the pressure-sensitive adhesive material can maintain a necessary thickness above the frame formed on the face plate. The reliability of adhesion between the face plate and the liquid crystal display panel is thus improved.

The present disclosure relates to a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device. In one aspect, the method may include laminating two or more multipiece boards to each other by way of a sealing material, applying surface polishing to at least one of the multipiece boards using an etchant, and separating the multipiece boards into respective liquid crystal cells by cutting. In further aspects, the sealing material may include individual sealing materials which are formed on regions of the respective liquid crystal cells, an outer peripheral sealing material which surrounds the respective individual sealing materials and forms an opening at least in a portion thereof, and a weir sealing material of a pattern in which the weir sealing material is formed inside the outer peripheral sealing material and in the vicinity of the opening.

Manufacturing method of liquid crystal display device

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device having an ODF (one drop-fill) type middle-sized or miniaturized liquid crystal display panel. In a liquid crystal display device which includes a liquid crystal display panel having a pair of substrates, a sealing member which is formed on a peripheral portion between the pair of substrates without a cut, and liquid crystal which is sealed in a space surrounded by the sealing member between the pair of substrates, one substrate out of the pair of substrates includes at least one line layer which is formed along a first side of one substrate, and a portion of the sealing member which is formed along the first side of one substrate is formed in a zigzag pattern such that the sealing member traverses at least one line layer plural times.
