A laser device, including multiple laser modules, includes a plurality of drive power units that drive the laser modules, a plurality of output detection units that detect laser outputs from the laser modules, and output detected values as first output signals, a coupled output detection unit that detects a total laser output after coupling of a plurality of the laser outputs, and outputs a detected value as a second output signal, a computing unit that sets multiple output correction factors for correspondingly controlling the laser modules using the plurality of first output signals and the second output signal, and a control unit that controls the plurality of drive power units using the multiple output correction factors. The multiple output correction factors are each set to allow the total laser output to be maintained at a constant value.

Laser device, laser machining apparatus, and method for controlling output of laser device

A laser machining device includes a plurality of oscillators to emit laser beams having different wavelengths from each other; a machining head to emit laser beams emitted from the respective oscillators to a machining object; a plurality of transmission fibers to transmit the laser beams to the machining head; a wavelength dispersion element; and a focusing lens to superpose the laser beams emitted from the transmission fibers, wherein the wavelength dispersion element is arranged at a position at which the laser beams are superposed by the focusing lens.

Laser machining device

A laser oscillator includes: an external resonator configured to include laser media to emit laser beams having different wavelengths; and a partially reflective mirror to transmit part of the laser beams and reflect and return a remainder toward the laser media. The external resonator includes therein: a diffraction grating to perform wavelength coupling on the laser beams having different wavelengths emitted from the laser media so as to superimpose the laser beams into one laser beam and to emit, to the partially reflective mirror, the one laser beam; and a prism that is placed between the laser media and the diffraction grating and that superimposes the laser beams into one laser beam on the diffraction grating, the prism including two surfaces forming an apex angle, one of the two surfaces being an incident surface and another of the two surfaces being an exit surface.

Laser oscillator

A laser oscillator includes: a plurality of laser media to emit laser beams having different wavelengths; a diffraction grating to emit, in a superimposed state, the laser beams incident from the laser media; a partially reflective element to reflect part of the laser beams emitted from the diffraction grating and return the part of the laser beams to the diffraction grating, and to transmit a remainder; and a plurality of lenses each disposed between a corresponding one of the laser media and the diffraction grating. The lenses are each disposed in an optical path formed between a corresponding one of the laser media and the diffraction grating, and the lenses superimpose the laser beams from the laser media on an incident surface of the diffraction grating such that the laser beams have an equal outer diameter.

Provided is an NC program generating device that generates an NC program used in laser machining, using a rapid traverse command that moves a relative position between a machining head and a workpiece at a first movement speed, and a linear interpolation movement command that moves the relative position at a second speed, while causing the relative position to trace the workpiece, the device comprising: a movement time calculation unit that calculates a first movement time of the relative position when using the rapid traverse command and a second movement time of the relative position when using the linear interpolation command, a movement method selection unit that selects the movement command corresponding to the shorter time of the first movement time and the second movement time, and an NC program generating unit that generates an NC program by setting the selected movement command between the machining points.

The laser machining apparatus includes a transmission fiber that transmits laser light emitted from a laser oscillator through the fiber, a machining head that emits the laser light, which is sent from the transmission fiber, vertically to a main surface of a machining object and sends reflected light, which is reflected coaxially with the laser light by the machining object, to the transmission fiber, a reflected light monitoring unit that detects a reflected light intensity of the reflected light sent from the transmission fiber, and a control device that controls the laser oscillator and the machining head, in which the control device includes a determining unit that, at a time when laser machining is started, determines whether the machining object corresponds to a machining condition or not in laser machining on the basis of the reflected light intensity.

Laser machining apparatus that monitors material thickness and type by reflected light intensity

A semiconductor laser apparatus, including: a beam divergence angle correction optical system for correcting a divergence angle of beams generated from light emitting points of a semiconductor laser bar; a beam rotation optical system for rotating the beams each having the corrected divergence angle; a wavelength dispersion optical element having a wavelength dispersion function; and a partial reflection mirror. A relative position of the beam divergence angle correction optical system with respect to the light emitting point in a divergence angle correction direction is changed for each light emitting point.

Semiconductor laser apparatus

In an optical access network using an optical switching device, a 2&#xd7;1 optical splitter in the uplink and downlink directions is eliminated to extend the transmission distance between the OLT and the ONU. An optical switching device includes a downlink optical switch element for switching a downlink optical signal sent by an OLT, an uplink optical switch element for switching an uplink optical signal sent by a plurality of ONU, an O/E for converting a downlink optical signal to a first electrical signal, an E/O for converting the first electrical signal to a downlink optical signal and inputting the downlink optical signal to the downlink optical element, an O/E for converting an uplink optical signal output from the uplink optical switch element to a second electrical signal, and an E/O for converting the second electrical signal to an uplink optical signal and sending the uplink optical signal to the OLT.

Optical switching device, optical access network, optical switching method, program, and recording medium

To provide synchronizing methods, optical switch modules, center devices, remote devices, optical access systems, optical access networks, programs, and recording media in the optical access network which can give the connection start time of the upstream optical switching element of the optical switch module. To the optical switch module, ranging functions are provided and the center device OLU carries out ranging of the optical switch module OSM as is the case of ranging of the remote device ONU. The center device OLU transmits the difference between roundtrip time of the remote device ONU and roundtrip time of optical switch module OSM, which is the result of these rangings, to the optical switch module OSM, and the optical switch module OSM can obtain the contact start time of the upstream optical switching element by calculating the contact start time using the difference.
