A fin member for a heat exchanger is produced by repeatedly folding a plate over itself into a corrugated shape to form corrugated fins. The folded sections which are formed by the folding are pressed and deformed into a recessed shape to form engagement recesses. A pipe member through which fluid flows is disposed at the engagement recesses. The pressing and deformation of the engagement recesses cause swollen sections to protrude at both sides of each folded section with respect to the folding-over direction of the folded section and form flat butt surfaces at the tips of the swollen sections. Adjacent butt surfaces are caused to be in surface contact with each other with the pipe member disposed at the engagement recesses.

Method of producing a heat exchanger

An improved rotating electrical machine having permanent magnets and method for attaching the magnets that permits the use of thin, high flux density materials. The magnets and their mounting plate have facing cylindrical surfaces that are spaced slightly apart and through which an adhesive is introduced by capillary action through a groove formed at one end of the permanent magnets for providing attachment without having excess adhesive that can protrude beyond the surface of the magnets.

Rotating electrical machine with permanent magnets and method of making same

A rotating electrical machine such as electrical starter motor and more particularly to an improved method and apparatus for winding the armature coils of a rotating electrical machine. The winding apparatus and method is particularly adapted for use with large diameter wires and permits winding without a winding needle having to pass into the slot between the pole teeth. This is accomplished by introducing some slack in the wire by moving the wire in a circumferential direction when the winding needle is not disposed in proximity to the slot and then returning the winding needle to registry with the slot.

Winding method and device for an armature for rotary electric machines

An assembling apparatus for assembling rotating electrical machines having permanent magnets and armatures cores. The apparatus holds the armature core while the permanent magnets are assembled on to it thus avoiding hand labor. At all times, the rotor is supported so that it cannot cant relative to the stator and its permanent magnets and thus, no damage to the magnets or any coating thereon or to the armature will occur.

Insulator for armature of dynamo-electric machine

A small-diameter resin tube connecting structure used as a small-diameter tube connector is provided. The connector comprises: a main body including therein a small-diameter chamber continuous with a communication hole defined by the connecting cylindrical wall at the top end of the main body and a large-diameter chamber formed behind the small-diameter chamber; and a socket having repulsive walls each in the form of a pawl wall and formed integral with, or separately from, the outer periphery of the connector main body whereby the repulsive walls of the socket are brought into engagement with an annular bulged wall of the target resin tube. Further, a thin-wall metallic tube having an annular bulged wall is inserted into at least the connecting end of the resin tube with the metallic tube serving as a reinforcing member for the resin tube. The resin tube may have the annular bulged wall together with the metallic tube by press-working the inserted metallic tube in the axial direction. The connector of the present invention can securely maintain the connection of the target small-diameter tube with the connector for a prolonged period of time, increase the resistance against the draw-out force and manufacture easily and in a simple manner without enlarging the size thereof.

Structure of small-diameter resin tube connector

A flared connection structure of a pipe end portion is provided. The structure includes a bridge flare with a spool portion with a U-shape or V-shape section that bulges outwardly to define front and rear inclined faces. A ring member with a U-shape cross-section has a rear portion disposed in the pocket between the front and rear inclined faces of the spool portion. The ring member also has a front face disposed between the front inclined face of the spool portion and the pressure receiving seat face of a counterpart joint. A pattern of concentric circles formed by recesses and projections is provided on at least one of the faces of the front portion of the ring member or the pressure receiving seat face of the counterpart joint.

Flared connection structure of pipe end portion

A connector is provided for connecting a conductive resin tube to a metal pipe. The connector includes a front end for insertion into the conductive resin tube and a rear end defining a chamber for accommodating an end of the metal pipe. A support member is disposed in the connector for supporting the front end of the resin connector. The support member has a front end that engages the inner surface of conductive resin tube and a rear end that engages the metal pipe.
