A generator capable of suppressing leakage of a liquid fuel includes a fuel tank that stores the liquid fuel. The fuel tank has a fuel inlet, a tank bulge portion that has the fuel inlet and that bulges to a position higher than the fuel inlet, and a breather path formed of a pipe member communicating between an inside and an outside of the fuel tank. The tank bulge portion is provided with an isolated body forming an isolated space that is isolated from an internal space of the fuel tank. An end part on one side of the pipe member is accommodated inside the isolated body.

Generator

A pressure variation in a fuel tank can be prevented, and leakage of liquid fuel can be prevented even if the fuel tank is inclined in a predetermined direction, without operation for opening and closing a breather passage. An engine generator includes: a first breather passage having an opening at a position above a liquid fuel in a tank bulge section when the engine generator is inclined to the right (corresponding to a first direction); and a second breather passage having an opening at a position above the liquid fuel in the tank bulge section when the engine generator is inclined in the left direction (a second direction).

Work machine

A portable engine generator includes a power generation unit operating an engine to generate electricity and a negative pressure fuel cock using a negative pressure in a crank chamber as an operating negative pressure to supply fuel to the engine. The negative pressure fuel cock is located on a side opposite to a negative pressure take-out port of the crank chamber with respect to a position of the power generation unit when the portable gas-engine generator is turned over, and so as to be located at a position higher than the negative pressure take-out port when the portable gas-engine generator is in an upright posture.

Portable engine generator

A gas fuel supply apparatus is constructed to be capable of supplying any one of propane gas and butane gas to a gas engine while switching between the propane gas and the butane gas. A check valve is provided in a gas fuel supply passages corresponding to a gas canister containing the gas fuel of a low working pressure (propane gas). The check valve prevents the gas fuel of a higher working pressure (butane gas) from flowing from a downstream side of the check valve to an upstream side of the check valve.

Gas fuel supply apparatus

A gas engine regulator includes a decompression chamber defined internally of the regulator and having a gas inlet through which liquefied gas fuel enters and a gas outlet through which the gas fuel exits. The gas inlet is provided at one end side of the decompression chamber while the gas outlet is provided at an opposite end side laterally spaced via a space from the one end side. The regulator also includes a partitioning wall disposed to surround the gas outlet and having a gas passage communicating with the gas outlet, the gas passage having a passage inlet disposed upwardly of the gas inlet.

Gas engine regulator

An engine fuel feeding device that is small-sized and easy to start. A cutoff valve is disposed upstream from a primary regulator provided to a fuel passage from a fuel feeding source to an engine. The cutoff valve is provided integrally with the primary regulator. When the gas engine is stopped, the fuel feeding passage is blocked in front of the primary regulator, gas fuel does not flow in the downstream direction that includes the primary regulator, and the ability of the gas engine to start is enhanced.

Fuel feeding device for gas engine

A gas fuel supply apparatus includes: first and second mouthpiece attachment sections capable of detachably attaching thereto mouthpieces of first and second gas containers and provided in communication with each other; and first and second check valves provided in a communication passage, communicating between the mouthpiece attachment sections, in corresponding relation to the first and second gas containers. The first and second check valves prevent a gas fuel, let out from any one of the first and second gas containers, from flowing into the other of the gas containers.

A fuel supplying apparatus is configured to supply a gas engine with gas fuel in such a manner that tar separated from the gas fuel is guided to the engine. The apparatus includes a primary regulator and a secondary regulator formed integrally with the primary regulator. The primary regulator communicates with the secondary regulator through a gas passage. The secondary regulator is disposed below the primary regulator. The secondary regulator has a gas inlet for taking in the gas fuel and the tar that have passed from the primary regulator through the gas passage. The secondary regulator has an orifice disposed below the gas inlet for discharging the gas fuel and the tar. The tar separated from the gas fuel flows from the primary regulator through the gas passage and the gas inlet into the secondary regulator and discharged out of the orifice into the engine.

Fuel supplying apparatus for gas engine

In a multiple gas fuel delivery system for interchangeably supplying a plurality of gas fuels having different supply pressures to an internal combustion engine, at least a pair of fuel passages extend from a gas fuel inlet () to a fuel ejection nozzle () for delivering the gas fuel to a carburetor, and are provided with respective metering jets (). One of the fuel passages is provided with a pressure responsive valve () that communicates only the first metering jet () for delivering the fuel gas to the carburetor when a gas fuel of a relatively high pressure is used, and communicates both the first and second metering jets () for delivering the fuel gas to the carburetor when a gas fuel of a relatively low pressure is used. Therefore, a flow switching valve is not required, and the passage structure can be simplified. Also, the pressure responsive valve () is actuated by the pressure of the fuel, and no manual selection is required when a different gas fuel is selected.

Multiple gas fuel delivery system

A fuel supply device for a gas engine is provided that includes a vaporizer, a primary regulator, a fuel changeover valve, a second inlet passage to which is introduced a second fuel fed out from a second fuel source, and a common outlet passage and can selectively connect the first and second inlet passages to the outlet passage, a common secondary regulator that regulates the pressure of the first fuel or second fuel so that it is at substantially atmospheric pressure and supplies it to a mixer, and a cutoff valve that opens/closes a fuel passage between the fuel changeover valve and the secondary regulator in response to operation/stopping of a gas engine, the vaporizer, the primary regulator, the fuel changeover valve, the cutoff valve, and the secondary regulator being integrally connected to each other to form a unit.

Fuel supply device for gas engine

In a general-purpose internal combustion engine having a throttle valve and a choke valve each installed in an air intake passage connected to a combustion chamber, air sucked in flowing through the air intake passage and mixing with fuel supplied by a carburetor to generate an air-fuel mixture that enters the combustion chamber of a cylinder and is ignited to drive a piston to rotate a crankshaft to be connected to a load such as a generator, there are provided an electric motor (actuator), a throttle valve opening/closing mechanism connected to the motor to open/close the throttle valve and a choke valve opening/closing mechanism connected to the throttle valve opening/closing mechanism to open/close the choke valve in response to operation of the throttle valve opening/closing mechanism, thereby enabling to move a choke valve without need to install an additional actuator.

General purpose internal combustion engine

An engine-start is inhibited when a gas engine is tilted, and the engine is immediately stopped. A shutoff valve () is provided on a liquefied fuel passage () supplying a liquefied fuel to a vaporizing chamber () from a cylinder (). The shutoff valve () is provided with a diaphragm () to which a pulsation pressure of a crank chamber () is applied, and opens the liquefied fuel passage () if a negative pressure is applied to the diaphragm (). A tilting shutoff valve () is provided in a pressure passage () transmitting the pulsation pressure to the shutoff valve (). The tilting shutoff valve () which has a ball valve releases the pulsation pressure of the crank chamber () to an atmospheric air. If the pulsation pressure is open to the atmospheric air, the diaphragm () can not operate. Accordingly, the liquefied fuel passageis kept being shut off, and is rapidly shut off in response to the tilt during the operation.

An engine operated generator is provided with an engine, a generator driven by the engine, and a power control unit for controlling the power generated by the generator. A fuel gas stored in fuel bottles set in a case for the engine operated generator, is supplied to the engine though a fuel pressure regulator. The fuel bottles and the fuel pressure regulator are disposed adjacent to the power control unit to enable heat exchange with the power control unit provided with an inverter. Thus, heat is mutually utilized between the power control unit and at least one of the fuel bottles as fuel receptacles and the fuel pressure regulator.

Engine operated generator

A choke valve control system includes a choke-operating lever for opening and closing a choke valve of a carburetor, a choke spring for biasing the valve in an opening direction, and a damper for controlling the opening motion of the valve to a lower speed, when the choke valve is opened from its fully closed position by a biasing force of the choke spring. The choke-operating lever, the choke spring and the damper are connected to the choke valve of the carburetor. In this choke valve control system, the damper includes a damper housing, a rotor, and a damper oil which is accommodated in a sealed manner in the damper housing and applies a viscosity resistance to the rotation of the rotor, which resistance increases as the viscosity increases with decreasing temperature. Thus, the time required for opening the choke valve can be controlled in accordance with the level of the environmental temperature of an engine, thereby providing the stabilization of the warming operation of the engine and a reduction in fuel consumption.

Control system for choke valve of carburetor

A decompression mechanism in an engine is provided, which is constructed so that a centrifugal weight, a pivot supporting the centrifugal weight on a driven timing gear, and an operating pin adapted to transmit the swinging movement of the centrifugal weight to a decompression cam shaft, can be formed as a single piece from a single steel wire, thereby providing a reduction in cost. The centrifugal weight is formed into a bow-like shape from a steel wire, and a pivot and a pin are formed by bending the steel wire sideways from opposite ends of the centrifugal weight.
