Imaging lens and imaging apparatus

Provided are an imaging lens and an Imaging apparatus which includes this imaging lens. The imaging lens consists of, in order from an object side: a front group GF; a diaphragm St; and a rear group GR. The front group GF consists of, in order from the object side: a first lens Lthat is convex toward the object side and has a negative refractive power; a second lens Lthat has a negative refractive power; and a third lens Lthat has a positive refractive power. [Object] An electric power steering apparatus capable of returning the steering wheel to a steering wheel neutral position even in case of failure of a steering angle sensor. [Solution] In performing a control action whereby the steering wheel is returned to a neutral position according to the steering angle and yaw rate, the gain of the yaw rate sensor () is amplified if a failure in the steering angle sensor () is detected, and the damping gain of a damping compensation unit () is reduced if failure in at least one of the sensors is detected. Thereby, the steering wheel () can return to the neutral position by producing a stronger returning force based on an amplified detection value even if the real yaw rate is small, and the damping component acting on the returning force can be reduced so that the self-aligning torque is enabled to return the steering wheel to the neutral position.

Electric power steering apparatus

An electric power-assist steering system that provides a steering assist control in accordance with the steering angle right after the idle stop to reduce an unpleasant steering feeling and is installed in a vehicle having an idle stop mechanism (engine controller) that automatically performs an idle stop operation in a predetermined condition. The electric power-assist steering system includes a torque sensor, a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angle relative to a midpoint of a steering angle that is learned, an electric motor whose assist force is controlled based on the steering torque and the steering angle, and a resolver for detecting a rotational angle of the electric motor. A steering angle right after the idle stop is determined based on the steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor right before the idle stop and variation in the rotational angle detected by the resolver during the idle stop.
