A printing device includes: a platen roller, a pair of bearings, and a holder. The platen roller has a rotational shaft extending in a first direction. The bearings rotatably support respective end portions of the rotational shaft. Each of the bearings includes an abutment portion. The holder includes a pair of fitting portions into which the bearings is respectively fitted. Each of the fitting portions includes: a receiving portion, an opening portion, and an engagement portion extending from the receiving portion. The receiving portion has an inner space configured to receive the corresponding bearing. The abutment portion is configured to abut against the engagement portion. In a case where an external force in a direction toward the opening portion is applied to the bearing, the engagement portion is configured to be deformed so as to reduce an area of the opening portion, thereby immovably engaging the bearing.

A printing device includes: a platen roller having a rotational shaft, a pair of bearings, and a holder. The bearings rotatably support end portions of the rotational shaft. Each of the bearings includes: a support portion, and an engaging portion. The support portion has an outer circumferential surface. The engaging portion is provided at the outer circumferential surface of the support portion. The holder includes a pair of fitting portions. The bearings are fitted into the fitting portions, respectively. Each of the fitting portions includes: a receiving portion configured to receive the support portion, an opening portion, and an engagement portion. The engaging portion is engaged with the engagement portion, whereby an expanding deformation of the opening portion can be restrained in a case where an external force directed in a direction toward the opening portion in the first direction is applied to the bearings.

A printer includes two supporters disposed at a storage section, an adjuster movably supporting at least a specific supporter of the two supporters, a protrusion protruding upward from a second section, the second section being an upper portion of the specific supporter, a locking section locking a first section in a position to which the first section is moved via the adjuster, the first section being a lower portion of the specific supporter, and an engagement section having elastically-deformable engagement pieces arranged at intervals in a particular direction intersecting a vertical direction, the protrusion being configured to, when the cover is closed, engage with at least a specific engagement piece from beneath, the specific engagement piece being maintained elastically deformed upward.

A printer includes a first case and a second case, a paper containing portion is formed in the first case and contains a paper roll, a paper holder is provided in the paper containing portion and hold the paper roll, a pair of supporting members are provided in the paper holder and hold both ends of the paper roll, with each of the supporting members holding one of the ends, a contacting portion is provided in the paper holder and is thicker than are the supporting members, and a first projection projects in the paper containing portion from the first case toward the paper holder and is positioned, in the axial direction of the paper roll, between the contacting portion and a wall surface of the first case located on the side of the contact portion and is able to come into contact with the contacting portion.

When a cut lever is rotated, a tape printer cuts a tape by using a cutting mechanism unit. The cutting mechanism unit has a cut lever rotatably supported by a lever shaft, a cutter holder provided with a cutter blade and a cutter blade receiving member. Upon rotation of the cut lever, the cut lever moves the cutter holder in a cutting direction, the cutter blade presses and cuts the tape in cooperation with the cutter blade receiving member. At a point the cutter blade comes into contact with the cutter blade receiving member, a line segment connecting a lever shaft center and a contact protrusion tangent point T becomes perpendicular to the cutting direction.

A printing device loads a tape cassette including a label, a tape transfer roller, and a shaft hole, and the printing device includes a first synthetic resin support shaft that is fitted in the shaft hole to support the tape transfer roller, a synthetic resin frame that anchors a lower part of the first support shaft, a second synthetic resin support shaft that stands on the frame on the opposite side of the first support shaft, a first gear that is provided on the second support shaft to be rotated by driving power from a motor in the printing device, a second gear that engages with the first gear and biased toward the first gear, and a press roller that includes the second gear, rotates, and is biased toward the first support shaft to hold the label between itself and the tape transfer roller and to discharge the label.

There is provided a tape printing apparatus capable of improving durability performance of a cutting mechanism constituted of a fixed blade and a movable blade tremendously. The bottom edge portion of an opening portion in a rear frame is formed to be located below the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of this movable blade by a predetermined height (for example, about 3 mm to 5 mm) when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, that is, a home position. That is, even when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, there is formed a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, a distance of about 3 mm to 5 mm) in the vertical direction between the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of the movable blade and the bottom end edge portion of the opening portion.

Cutting device for tape printing apparatus

There is provided an electronic device that enables and ensures the detection of the open/close condition and attached condition of a plurality of cover bodies by only one detection switch. Therefore, an electronic device comprises an upper cover, a front cover, an actuator, and a mechanical switch. The upper cover is provided openable and closable with respect to a rolled sheet holder storing case, and the front cover is removably attached on the rolled sheet holder storing case for covering a component, which is housed in the rolled sheet holder storing case. The actuator is provided on the front cover, and it makes an action when the upper cover is closed to the rolled sheet holder storing case, and the mechanical switch detects the action of the actuator. This arrangement forms a system that detects sequentially the action taken for closing the upper cover to the rolled sheet holder storing case, by relaying the action via the actuator, which is provided on the front cover, to the mechanical switch, which detects the action.
