A formed sheet product of a polymer composition comprising at least one protein selected from the group consisting of fibrinogen and thrombin and at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic polyester and a water-soluble polymer, and a laminated formed sheet product comprising a first polymer composition layer composed of fibrinogen and a water-soluble polymer and a second polymer composition layer composed of thrombin and an aliphatic polyester are provided. These formed products are applied onto a wound site and function as a hemostatic material.

A control apparatus is configured to: stop a cooling operation; set an expansion valve to a fully-closed state and, at the same time, switch the selector valve to change the direction, in which a refrigerant flows, to an opposite direction; operate a compressor to perform a refrigerant recovery operation, in which a refrigerant contained in an outdoor heat exchanger is recovered by an indoor heat exchanger; and determine the appropriateness of a refrigerant amount in a refrigerating cycle, based on at least one of a time required for recovering the refrigerant, a pressure change in a refrigerant suctioned by the compressor, and temperature of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor during the refrigerant recovery operation.

The air conditioner has: an outdoor heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the air and a refrigerant flowing in the interior of this heat exchanger; an outdoor fan that blows air into the outdoor heat exchanger; an outdoor fan motor that rotationally drives the outdoor fan; an outdoor fan inverter that supplies a desired current to the outdoor fan motor; a current detector that detects the current flowing in the outdoor fan motor; and a control unit that controls the outdoor fan inverter such that the rotational frequency of the outdoor fan motor reaches a target rotational frequency. The control unit starts a defrosting operation of the outdoor heat exchanger on the basis of a detection value from the current detector during the heating operation.

An object to be achieved by the invention is to provide a biodegradable low-charging fiber. The prevent inventors have found that when a specific amount of a specific phospholipid that is not known to have antistatic properties is added to a biodegradable polymer, and the resulting mixture is formed into a fiber having a smooth surface, low-charging properties are developed. The invention has thus been accomplished. The invention is a fiber having an average surface porosity of less than 3% and made of a biodegradable polymer that contains a specific amount of a specific phospholipid.

Disclosed are a polysaccharide derivative obtained by substituting some of the carboxyl groups of a carboxy polysaccharide with &#x2014;NH&#x2014;X&#x2014;CO&#x2014;Y&#x2014;Z; and a hydrogel thereof. Here, X is a Chydrocarbon group, Y is a polyalkylene oxide having oxygen atoms at both ends, and Z is a Chydrocarbon group or &#x2014;CO&#x2014;R, with Rbeing a Chydrocarbon group. The hydrogel has excellent viscoelasticity and can be injected into a predetermined location with an injection device such as a syringe, and thus can be advantageously used as a medical gel or an adhesion barrier.

The invention is a cellulose derivative wherein some of the carboxyl groups of the cellulose derivative carboxymethylcellulose are replaced with &#x2014;CO&#x2014;NH&#x2014;X&#x2014;CO&#x2014;Y&#x2014;Z, and a hydrogel of the same. In the formula, X is a C1-10 divalent hydrocarbon group, Y is a divalent group derived from polyalkylene oxide having oxygen atoms at both ends, and Z is a C1-24 hydrocarbon group or &#x2014;CO&#x2014;R, where Ris a C1-23 hydrocarbon group. The hydrogel has excellent viscoelasticity and can be injected into prescribed sites with injecting devices such as syringes, and it can thus be utilized as a medical gel or adhesion barrier.

Cellulose derivative and hydrogel thereof

The invention provides a cellulose derivative having a repeating unit of the formula below, a composition including the cellulose derivative and a phospholipid, a method for production thereof, and an adhesion barrier including the cellulose derivative or the composition. In the formula, R, R, and Rare &#x2014;H, &#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOH, &#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOX, or &#x2014;CHCO-phosphatidylethanolamine, and X is an alkali metal or an alkali earth metal. The degree of substitution of &#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOH and &#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOX is 0.3 to 2.0 in total, and the degree of substitution of &#x2014;CHCO-phosphatidylethanolamine is 0.001 to 0.05.

Cellulose derivative and method for production thereof

A cellulose derivative which has a suitable elastic modulus and viscosity when it is dissolved in water and is useful as an adhesion barrier. The cellulose derivative has a molecular weight of 5&#xd7;10to 5&#xd7;10and is composed of a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1): wherein R, Rand Rare each independently selected from the group consisting of the following formulas (a), (b), (c) and (d) in predetermined amount: (X in the formula (c) is an alkali metal, and Rand Rin the formula (d) are each independently an alkyl group or alkenyl group having 10 to 28 carbon atoms).

Above all, the invention provides an anti-adhesion membrane of a honeycomb film made of polylactic acid as a biodegradable polymer and a phospholipid and a production process of the same.
