An occupant protection device includes a multidirectional airbag that inflates and deploys from a state housed in a headrest on receipt of supplied gas. The multidirectional airbag is configured as an integral bag body to surround a head of a seated occupant with a front deployment section and a pair of left and right lateral deployment sections. The front deployment section includes a front inflating portion that deploys to a seat forward direction of the head of the seated occupant and of at least one of a shoulder or chest of the seated occupant. Each of the pair of left and right lateral deployment sections includes a lateral inflating portion that is connected to the front deployment section and inflates and deploys alongside the head of the seated occupant.

Occupant protection device

A battery mounting structure for a vehicle includes a battery frame upper fabricated of fiber-reinforced resin, a battery frame lower fabricated of fiber-reinforced resin, and an intermediate member fabricated of fiber-reinforced resin. A battery that is disposed at a vehicle body lower side of a floor panel is attached at the battery frame upper. With the battery frame upper the battery frame lower structures a closed cross section structure. The intermediate member is interposed between the battery frame upper and the battery frame lower. The intermediate member is provided with a plural number of upper end portions that abut against or are disposed close to a lower face of the battery frame upper and a plural number of lower end portions that abut against or are disposed close to an upper face of the battery frame lower.

Battery mounting structure for vehicle

A vehicle lower section structure is obtained that has a simple structure and is capable of increasing the rigidity and strength of a framework structure that is long in the vehicle front-rear direction. A vehicle lower section structure includes: an upper panel including a pair of respectively vehicle-downwards facing joining faces that are separated from each other in the vehicle width direction; a lower panel that with the upper panel configures a framework structure that is long in the vehicle front-rear direction and has a closed cross-section by the joining faces of the upper panel being joined to vehicle-upwards facing joining faces of the lower panel; and a seat rail that is long in the vehicle front-rear direction and is fixed to a portion of the upper panel that configures an upper wall of the closed cross-section of the framework structure.

Vehicle lower section structure

A vehicle body structure has a floor panel upper; a rocker provided so as to extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction at a vehicle transverse direction outer side of the floor panel upper, and having a rocker upper and a rocker lower that are divided in a vehicle vertical direction; a floor reinforcement provided so as to extend in the vehicle longitudinal direction at a central portion between the rocker and a tunnel portion formed at a vehicle transverse direction central portion of the floor panel upper, and disposed at a vehicle rear side of a front side member; and an intermediate reinforcement lower provided so as to extend in the vehicle longitudinal direction between the rocker and the floor reinforcement, disposed at a vehicle lower side of the floor panel upper, and formed integrally with the rocker lower via a flange portion.

Vehicle body structure

To obtain a vehicle body lower portion structure that can efficiently absorb and disperse load of a front or rear collision including an offset collision or an oblique collision, and transmit the load to an underbody. A vehicle body lower portion structure has an underbody at which a dash lower portion and a lower back portion are provided to stand from both ends in a vehicle front-rear direction at a floor portion, a suspension member the length direction thereof is along a vehicle transverse direction and is joined to the underbody in a state of planarly-contacting a front surface of the dash lower portion, and a front EA member a length direction thereof is along the vehicle transverse direction and is joined to a front wall of the suspension member.

Vehicle body lower portion structure

The automobile rear structure includes a diffuser which is arranged on a vehicle-body rear side of a muffler and is configured to interfere with exhaust gas discharged from the muffler so as to make a portion of the exhaust gas flow downwardly, and a flow rectification plate which is arranged below the muffler and guides the downwardly flowing exhaust gas in the direction along an air flow flowing below the floor of the vehicle body to merge the exhaust gas into the air flow. The exhaust gas discharged downwardly from a space defined between a front end portion of the diffuser and a body portion of the muffler is guided in the direction inclined downwardly toward the rear side of the vehicle body and, thereafter, is guided in the direction along the air flow flowing below the floor of the vehicle body, and is merged into the air flow.
