A resistance substrate contains a substrate and a resistance part that is formed on an upper surface of the substrate by printing. The resistance part is formed into an arc shape (a C shape) so that a width of the resistance part continually changes. The resistance part is formed so that a part having a narrow width becomes thick and a part having a narrow width becomes thin.

Resistance substrate and rheostat comprising same

A rotary encoder includes a rotatable conductor and first and second signal contacts. The rotatable conductor includes a first contact finger that slides on a track which is at least a part of a circle having a center point as a center thereof; and second contact finger that slides on the track and is located at an angular position different from an angular position of the first contact finger. The first signal contact is disposed on the track, and is configured to output a signal according to an angular position of the rotatable conductor about the center point. The second signal contact is disposed on the first track, and is configured to output a signal according to the angular position of the rotatable conductor about the center point. The second signal contact is electrically independent of the first signal contact. This rotary encoder includes a small number of tracks, and accordingly has a small size.

Rotary encoder

In a rotary electronic component, the rotor includes a flange with the first face on which grooves are formed radially and the second face. The plate spring with a ring shape in the top view, includes resilient arms and flat parts. The upper member has the bottom face covering the plate spring and the first face, and retains the flat part such that the flat part can be attached to or detached from the bottom face of the upper member while preventing the plate spring from rotating responsive to rotation of the rotor. A spring constant of the resilient arms and the shape of the flat part are set to achieve the state such that the resilient, arms bend and the flat part is partially released from the bottom face of the upper member when the resilient arms go over a position between adjacent grooves.

Rotary electronic component

A rotating operation type electronic component has a rotation shaft and a signal generating section. The rotation shaft has a rod-shaped intermediate section, a cylindrical operation section, and a coupling section coupling the upper end of the intermediate section with the operation section. The rotatable operation section covers the upper part of the intermediate section, and has an operation knob mounted thereon. The signal generating section generates an electric signal in response to the rotation of the operation section. The coupling section has strength at which it breaks when a load of a predetermined level or higher is applied to the operation section from an axial direction of the rotation shaft.

Rotating operation type electronic component, and electronic device including the same

A rotary manipulation type electronic component includes a space formed by a case. A base houses a rotating body holding a resilient contact as a movable element. A comb-like contact is formed as a fixed element. A first bushing in the case and a second bushing in the base rotatably support a rotating shaft that rotates together with the rotating body. An inner bottom face of a cap-shaped knob is secured onto an end of the rotating shaft so that the knob receives a barrel portion, which supports the rotating shaft as a portion of the case.
