According to one embodiment, a housing includes a base plate and a frame formed on an outer edge of the base plate. The base plate includes a positioning hole for positioning in a mold. At least, the frame has a cross-section protruding outside the base plate. A positioning pin fit into the positioning hole is provided in the mold. An inlet through which molten resin is injected into a cavity of the mold is opened in the positioning pin. In the housing, the frame is formed on the outer edge of the base plate by injecting synthetic resin into the mold through the inlet.

According to one embodiment, a die is provided with a stationary die and a movable die. When the movable die is combined with the stationary die, a biscuit section, a product section in which a product is to be cast, a main runner configured to guide a molten metal from the biscuit section toward the product section, a main gate provided between the main runner and the product section, a sub-runner diverging from the main runner and extending along a side edge part of the product section, and a sub-gate provided between the sub-runner and the product section are formed between the stationary die and the movable die. The sub-gate is connected to the side edge part in an end portion of the product section. The sub-runner extends beyond the product section in a direction in which the side edge part extends.

Die and method of manufacturing cast product

According to one embodiment, a die includes a stationary die, and a movable die. A fin section provided between a runner section and a product section is extended from one end part to the other end part of the product section in a direction intersecting a stream direction of molten metal, and includes a fin central section opposed to a biscuit section in the stream direction of the molten metal, and a fin side section on a side of the fin central section. The fin side section includes a fin thick part formed thicker than a thickness of the fin central section. The fin thick part is extended to a boundary between the fin section and the product section. The product section includes a product thick part connected to the fin thick part in a region opposed to the fin thick part.

Die for die casting, method of manufacturing cast product, and cast product

According to one embodiment, a housing is formed by using a pair of metal molds. The housing includes a first wall, second walls projecting from the first wall, and bosses projecting from the first wall. A molten material is filled into a molding space defined between the metal molds, and thereby a molded article having a shape corresponding to the housing is molded. The molded article has a plurality of first pin-receiving portions serving as the bosses, and a plurality of second pin-receiving portions projecting from the second walls. The first and the second pin-receiving portions are pushed by a plurality of ejector pins, and thereby the molded article is ejected from the metal molds.

Method of forming a housing having a thin wall and the housing

In an enclosure structure of an electronic apparatus having a concave portion made up of a bottom wall and a surrounding wall, the concave portion being used for storing a functional part, an outer wall opposite to the surrounding wall of the concave portion, and a connecting wall connecting one end portion of the outer wall and one end portion of the concave portion, that is, in the integrally formed enclosure structure, a rib is provided over the surrounding wall of the concave portion, the outer wall, and the connecting wall, and a cut portion is provided at the other end portion opposite to one end portion connected to the connecting wall.
