An object of the present invention is to provide a flame-retardant resin composition having high flame retardancy, and a flame-retardant resin film having high thickness precision and excellent flame retardancy and a solar battery back sheet. The flame-retardant resin film according to the present invention is a flame-retardant resin film obtained from a resin composition, wherein the resin composition comprises a polyphenylene ether resin (a), a phosphorus flame retardant (b), and a fluorine-containing resin (c); in the resin composition, the content of the component (a) is 75 to 98 parts by mass and the content of the component (b) is 25 to 2 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the components (a) and (b) in total; the content of a fluorine element in the resin composition is 100 to 1000 mass ppm; and the flame-retardant resin film has a thickness of 20 to 500 &#x3bc;m.

A main object of the present invention is to provide a connection structure for a solar power generation module that has much better impact resistance at low temperature and flame retardancy even when made thinner and more compact. [Problem to be Solved] The present invention has an object to provide an automotive lamp extension molding comprising a resin composition having a low specific gravity, being excellent in the balance of heat resistance and fluidity, and being excellent in gloss and brightness feeling of the surface of the molded article. [Solution] The automotive lamp extension molding according to the present invention comprises a resin composition comprising 50 to 95 mass % of a polyphenylene ether (A), and having a specific gravity in the range of 1.00 to 1.12. The reduced viscosity (measured at 30&#xb0; C. using a chloroform solvent) of the (A) component is preferably 0.25 to 0.45 dl/g, and more preferably 0.25 to 0.38 dl/g.

Disclosed is a method for producing a polyphenylene ether, which comprises a step of preparing a polymerization solution composed of 10-25 parts by mass of a phenolic compound (M) and 75-90 parts by mass of an aromatic solvent (A) with the total of the compound and the solvent being 100 parts by mass, and 0.1-10 parts by mass of a catalyst (C) containing a metal salt; a step of performing an oxidative polymerization of the phenolic compound (M) by passing an oxygen-containing gas through the polymerization solution; a step of stopping the polymerization by mixing an aqueous chelating agent solution into the polymerization solution; a step of subjecting a diphenoquinone compound produced as a by-product to a quinone binding process or removal by reduction; and a step of obtaining a polyphenylene ether by separating the aqueous phase through liquid-liquid separation. The present invention provides a polyamide-polyphenylene ether resin composition comprising a polyamide having an alicyclic structure and composed of dicarboxylic acid units comprising from 20 to 100 mol % of cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid units and diamine units comprising aliphatic diamine units with from 6 to 12 carbon atoms, a polyphenylene ether, and a compatibilizer for a polyamide and a polyphenylene ether.
