A culture method for microalgae that cultures unicellular green microalgae belonging to the genusand groups of organisms closely related thereto, or the Watanabea clade, in an open outdoor culture system using broth having a pH of 4 or lower. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for aggregating and separating algae dispersed in a liquid efficiently. According to the present invention, a method for aggregating and separating algae dispersed in a liquid, which comprises adding an alkaline inorganic aggregating agent to the liquid at pH of 2.0 to 4.0 in which algae are dispersed, followed by adding a cationic polymer aggregating agent, is provided. Further, according to the present invention, a method for producing biofuel utilizing algae is provided.

In a heat exchanger having tubes and fins, a polyaniline film made of polyaniline and/or a derivative thereof is formed on the surfaces of the tubes and the fins. This polyaniline film is imparted with at least one hydrophilic functional group selected from the class consisting of a primary amino group, a secondary amino group, a tertiary amino group, an ammonium group, a nitric acid group, a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphonic acid group and a hydroxyl group. Accordingly, the surfaces of the tubes and the fins has good water wettability while maintaining deodorizing and sterilizing functions.
