A rotating electric machine for vehicles is capable of improving a cooling performance of switching elements forming an inverter module, and small-sizing the entire rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine includes: a stator; a rotor, a cooling fan; a front bracket and a rear bracket; and a cover; and in which a pair of switching elements are disposed axially adjacent to each other between the rear bracket and the cover; a ventilation hole for sucking an outside air is formed on an axial wall of the cover; and by rotation of the cooling fan, the outside air flows from the ventilation hole with respect to the switching elements, and goes through a suction port and is discharged through a discharge port.

Rotating electric machine for vehicles

A rotating electric machine for vehicles is capable of improving a cooling performance of switching elements forming an inverter module, and small-sizing the entire rotating electric machine. The objects of the present invention is to provide a preventive method for the progress of neuropsychiatric disorders, a therapeutic agent for neuropsychiatric disorders, a screening method thereof, and a therapeutic method through the analysis of the mechanisms leading to neuropsychiatric disorders such as Nasu-Hakola diseases and the like. The non-human animal model of oligodendrocytes developmental disorders was generated by making the DAP12 gene function deficient on its chromosome. The DAP12 knockout mouse develops myelination disorders including hypomyelinosis in the brain, particularly in the frontal head and the thalamus, further leading to neuropsychiatric disorders such as Nasu-Hakola disease and the like with aging. The screening method for a therapeutic agent, the diagnostic method, and the therapeutic method, wherein the DAP12 knockout mouse developing these disorders are used, have been developed.

A permanent magnet DC machine comprising a rotor and a stator diametrically opposed to the rotor through a fine air gap therebetween. The stator comprises a yoke, main magnetic poles of anisotropic permanent magnet provided on an inner circumferential surface of the yoke and auxiliary magnetic poles provided respectively adjacent to the main magnetic poles side by side, each of the auxiliary magnetic pole being made of a material having higher reversible permeability than said permanent magnet. Each pair of the main and auxiliary magnetic poles are arranged so that they are in contact with each other at a radially inner portion of the magnetic poles and are separated from each other at a radially outer side of the magnetic poles to thereby form a magnetic leakage-path breaking air gap portion therebetween. A circumferential length of the air gap portion at the radially outer side is larger than a radial distance of said fine air gap and a nonmagnetic member is provided in the air gap portion to prevent the leakage of magnetic flux.

An ac generator for a vehicle comprises a rotor field core fixed on a rotary shaft and magnetized by a field coil, a stator armature core surrounding the rotor field core, a stator armature coil wound on the stator armature core, an enclosure for liquid-tightly covering the stator armature coil, a generally cylindrical front bracket and a rear bracket. The front and the rear brackets are mounted directly to the cylinder block of the engine for defining a coolant passage between the front bracket, an outer wall of the rear bracket and an outer surface of the enclosure, the coolant passage having an inlet port connected to a upstream portion of an engine coolant passage and an outlet port connected to a downstream portion of the engine coolant passage, so that a portion of engine coolant flows through the coolant passage to cool at least the stator armature coil and the stator armature core.

A cooling apparatus for electrical accessories such as a generator and a starter motor for a car comprises a cooling liquid conduit for feeding a part of a cooling liquid for cooling an engine to a starter motor for starting the engine, and/or an A.C. generator and having at least one sensor for detecting the temperature of the cooling liquid and at least one valve provided in the cooling liquid conduit so that opening and closing operations are controlled on the basis of an output from the sensor.

A belt driven vehicle alternator is enclosed by front and rear brackets/casing members 26, 30 which, in combination with an aluminum housing 24 surrounding the rotor and stator cores/coils, define flow passages for a liquid coolant branched off from the engine cooling system. The coolant inlet and outlet ports 28, 29 are both provided in the rear casing member 30 and are circumferentially proximate each other to minimize the space occupied by the alternator cooling system and tubes in the crowded engine compartment.

A planetary gear system for the speed reduction output of a starter motor. The internal gear is made of an elastic resin and is separated from the casing of the system or a metal ring fitted in the casing by a predetermined gap. Thereby, the internal ring can deform over a range of shocks but is prevented from deforming by the casing or metal ring above this shock range.

A cooling device for cooling a vehicle mounted generator by using an engine coolant of the vehicle includes a temperature sensor 13 for sensing the temperature of the engine coolant, an electromagnetic valve 9 and a control device 14 responsive to the output of the temperature sensor to on-off control the valve such that when the output of the sensor is higher than an upper reference value preset in the control device or lower than a lower reference value preset therein, the valve is closed.

Cooling device for vehicle mounted generator

A vehicle mounted a.c. generator includes an annular water coolant passage 32b around a stator coil 11 and a branch coolant passage 32c extending from an inlet portion of the annular coolant passage to a return portion thereof. An air circulation fan 60 may also be provided inside a front bracket 26 of the generator. Various embodiments include supplemental heat pipes and bearing coolant passages.
