The present invention provides an eddy current flaw detection device capable of applying a sufficiently strong magnetic field to a test object without using a significantly large magnet. A magnetic-field forming magnetincludes a base magnet pieceand a tip magnet piece. The tip magnet piecehas a tip pole facefrom which a magnetic pole is directed toward a test object. The tip pole facehas a smaller area than a base faceof the base magnet piece, the base facebeing located on the opposite side of the magnetic-field forming magnetfrom the tip pole face

Eddy current flaw detection device

The present invention provides an eddy current flaw detection device that sufficiently removes noise from a detection signal. A magnetic field is applied to a test object by a magnetic-field forming magnet. The magnetic flux density of a magnetic field generated by the magnetic-field forming magnet is set at a value in a predetermined range according to a distance between the magnetic-field forming magnet and a detection surface and the thickness of the test object.

Eddy current flaw detection device and eddy current flaw detection method

The present invention provides a strong magnetic force and high heat resistance for a magnetic-field forming magnet that applies a magnetic field to a test object to be inspected by an eddy current flaw detection device. A magnetic-field forming magnet for applying a magnetic field to a test object includes a first magnet and a second magnet. The first magnet has a strong magnet force and the second magnet having higher heat resistance than the first magnet is attached to a near end of the first magnet, the end near the test object.

A discharge breaking system is configured to supply or discharge electric energy charged or accumulated in a capacitor between a pair of electrodes in a short time for abrupt vaporization of a breaking substance for transmitting a pressure, thereby breaking an object to be ruptured with an expansion force generated by the vaporization. The discharge breaking systems has a structure wherein an end portion of a sheath member which covers a pair of metal cores for composing a cable is cut off to expose ends of the metal cores, and the exposed ends of the metal cores are submerged in the breaking substance and used as electrodes. The cable can be a coaxial cable having an inner core and an outer core, the cable being cut off to expose an end of the inner cable having one or more notches to cause the exposed end of the inner core to function as the foregoing thin metal wire. This discharge breaking system requires no adjustment of a distance between the electrodes and can easily be manufactured.
