A well intervention semisubmersible vessel and method including a drilling rig further including a non-elevated derrick floor and a handling tower having a single point land out without riser tensioners. The vessel may also include a flush drill floor, a flush moonpool door, a lift frame and personnel access walkway wherein the lift frame is capable of being skidded into position by a skidding system capable of providing personnel access and wherein the skidding system comprises a plurality of skidding rails, at least one remotely operated vehicle, an intervention rising system and storage area, a crane, a moonpool and handling area, a moonpool trolley, at least one fluid pump, and/or at least one tank.

The present disclosure relates to techniques for reducing roll motion experienced by a floating vessel. The disclosure reveals several different techniques for damping roll motion, which may be used alone or in conjunction to stabilize a floating vessel. A typical disclosed embodiment of a roll motion damping device would employ a sponson on each side of the vessel. Each sponson would typically encompass one or more baffles. And a wing keel could be located on the outside of each sponson. When all of these features are used in conjunction, they work synergistically to maximize the resistance to roll experienced by the floating vessel.

An offshore well test platform system is positionable above one or more underwater wells and comprises a submerged buoy restrained below the surface of the water by a plurality of laterally extending, tensioned cables, a platform structure removably connected to a submerged buoy with an upper portion that extends above the surface of the water, and a flexible riser that connects the well to a well test platform deck above the surface of the water.

A terminator assembly is disclosed herein for use in mooring a floating structure to the floor of a body of water. A hawsepipe extends downwardly from adjacent an upper support on the floating structure and is supported by a lower support. Tension members utilized from mooring the floating structure extend downwardly from adjacent the upper support through the hawsepipe and a lower end of the tension member is adapted for connection to the floor of the body of water. A locking device is connected to an upper portion of each tension member for maintaining the tension member in tension by acting upon the upper portion of the hawsepipe to transfer the vertical loads through the hawsepipe to the lower support on the floating structure.
