Various embodiments of the teachings herein include an actuating drive comprising: a drive element; an actuation element; and a restoring spring. The drive element drives the actuation element indirectly about an actuation axis. The actuation element includes a shaft portion concentric to the actuation axis and extends at least partially circumferentially. The restoring spring includes a wound flat spring providing a restoring torque on the actuation element, acting tangentially on the shaft portion, and a free spring end tangentially fastened to the shaft portion. The free spring end is radially externally disposed with respect to the spring axis and fastened tangentially to the shaft portion. The spring is mounted rotatably so the spring axis is radially spaced apart from the actuation axis and aligned parallel to the actuation axis.

Various embodiments include a method for determining the mixing ratio R of a fluid comprising a mixture of at least two different fluids for a technical process in a device comprising: irradiating an ultrasonic signal with a transmission level along a measuring distance running inside a measuring section; measuring a receiving level of the ultrasonic signal at one end of the measuring distance; determining an ultrasonic attenuation of the ultrasonic signal attenuated by the fluid based at least on the transmission and receiving levels of the ultrasonic signal; measuring a temperature of the fluid flowing through the measuring section; and determining a mixing ratio of the at least two different fluids from the determined ultrasonic attenuation and from the measured fluid temperature.

Various embodiments include an actuator comprising: a drive element; a transmission section; an actuating element; a mechanically active connection from the drive element to the actuating element through the transmission section; and a reset spring providing a closing force acting on the actuating element. The transmission section includes a drive gear wheel, a transmission gear wheel, and a take-off gear wheel. The transmission gear wheel includes a drive gear section and a take-off gear section. There is a first meshed engagement from the drive gear section through a first transmission function into the drive gear wheel and a second meshed engagement from the take-off gear section through a second transmission function into the take-off gear wheel. The first transmission function and the second transmission function are different. The drive gear wheel, the drive gear section, the take-off gear section, and the take-off gear wheel are arranged in one active plane.

A method and/or system for assessing the security situation in a building through an evaluation of sensor values provided by activity sensors situated in the building, in particular, in the accommodation region, an estimate of the number of persons actually present in the building, determining the number of persons to be expected in the building by an evaluation of administrative data (HR, Outlook, events, occupancies, etc.). Based upon a comparison of the number of persons to be expected with the number of actual persons, an indicator is determined for assessing the actual security situation in the building or in the accommodation region.

Various embodiments include an actuator comprising: a drive element; a transmission section; an actuating element mechanically actively connected to the drive element through the transmission section; a reset spring exerting a closing force on the actuating element; and a coupling device providing a mechanically active connection between the reset spring and the transmission section. The coupling device is configured to be brought into a first coupling state and a second coupling state. With the coupling device in the first coupling state, the reset spring exerts the closing force on the actuating element in a first closing direction. With the coupling device in the second coupling state, the reset spring exerts the closing force on the actuating element in a second closing direction. The first closing direction and the second closing direction are different.

An optical smoke detector using a two-color principle is provided. The smoke detector may include a light emitting diode (LED), and a photosensor spectrally coordinated with the LED. The LED includes an LED chip configured to emit light in a first wavelength range, and a light converter configured to convert part of the emitted light from the LED chip into light in a second wavelength range, wherein the second wavelength range has a spectral half-width having a maximum of 150 nm.

The aim of the invention is to better compensate for specifiable forces on a magnetic mounting. This is achieved by a magnetic mounting device with a first magnet device (), which is designed in an annular manner and which has a central axis, for retaining a shaft on the central axis in a rotatable manner by means of magnetic forces. The magnetic mounting device additionally has a second magnet device (), which is independent of the first magnet device (), for compensating for a specifiable force acting on the shaft. In this manner, the magnetic mounting device can compensate for the gravitational force or forces based on imbalances.

A flame detector, may be aligned to cover a region to be monitored near a body water. The flame detector has at least one radiation sensor and a downstream evaluation unit. The at least one radiation sensor is sensitive to light in the spectrum of open fire. The evaluation unit outputs a fire alarm in the event of fluctuations or flicker frequencies characteristic of open fire being detected. A linear polarizing filter positioned upstream of the radiation sensor(s) has a polarization plane rotated about a main receiving direction to largely suppress the horizontal component of the received light, based on the knowledge that light reflected from water surfaces is predominantly horizontally polarized. If characteristic flicker frequencies and a significant degree of polarization are simultaneously detected in the received light, the detector identifies sunlight reflected off bodies of water and modulated by the swell, and a false alarm output is inhibited.

A method and a system evaluate a security situation in a building. The building has accommodation areas with access authorization for authorized persons. A count of the persons present in the accommodation areas is determined in that, in a radio network which contains a plurality of radio stations arranged spatially distributed in the ceiling, wall or floor, the influencing of the radio field of the radio stations between one another by persons physically present there is evaluated, by a radio tomographic location and detection method. A current count of identifiers which are read by RFID reading devices of RFID transponders is determined, the identifiers being carried by authorized persons. The RFID reading devices are arranged there spatially distributed in the ceiling, wall or floor. Based on the respective counts of personal identifiers and the determined person count, an indicator for evaluating the current security situation in the building is determined.
