Described is a silane functionalized polyolefin and a method of forming the composition, the composition comprising compounds having the following structure: wherein R, R, and Rare independently selected from hydrogen, C1 to C10 linear alkyls, C6 to C14 aryls, C7 to C20 alkylaryls, and substituted versions thereof; n has a value within the range from 20 to 2000; m has a value within the range from 1 to 10 or 20; R is selected from hydrogen or C1 to C10 alkyls; and fand fare residual functional moieties selected from carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorous, silicon, and boron, where any remaining valences are bound to a group selected from hydrogen, C1 to C10 linear alkyls, C6 to C14 aryls, C7 to C20 alkylaryls, and substituted versions thereof.

An atactic polypropylene comb-block polyolefin comprising two blocks including a polyolefin backbone and atactic polypropylene combs pendant to the backbone having a weight average molecular weight of at least 8000 g/mole and a crystallinity of less than 20%, where the atactic polypropylene comb-block polyolefin has comb number of at least 2. The atactic polypropylene comb-block polyolefin is made by contacting at a temperature within a range from 20 to 70&#xb0; C. propylene with a first metallocene precursor to form vinyl-terminated atactic polypropylene to form vinyl-terminated atactic polypropylene, then contacting at a temperature within a range from 40 to 150&#xb0; C. the vinyl-terminated atactic polypropylene with ethylene, propylene, or both and a second metallocene precursor to form the backbone.

Atactic polypropylene comb block polyolefins useful as modifiers in polyolefins and hydrocarbons

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) functionalized isobutylene copolymers, methods for making a PAH functionalized isobutylene copolymer comprising combining a halogenated copolymer with a PAH in a solvent under basic conditions at a temperature ranging from 30&#xb0; C. to 150&#xb0; C., the use of these PAH functionalized copolymers as a dispersant in elastomeric nanocomposite compositions comprising a halobutyl rubber matrix and nanoparticles of graphite or graphene, and a tire innerliner or innertube produced from these elastomeric nanocomposite compositions is disclosed.
