A comestible dosage form article, in the form of a hard capsule, for administration to a target subject, the dosage form comprising at least one body and at least one cap telescopically engageable with the body, the cap and the body being separable such to allow dispensing of a contents therefrom. The capsule comprising a sensory trigger over at least a portion of the outer surface of the capsule arranged to provide a visual, taste, and/or tactile deterrence to ingestion thereof.

Separable capsule for sprinkling applications

The present disclosure relates to a separable hard capsule for containing a medication. The capsule may be opened by finger force and used, for example, by pediatric and geriatric patients.

Separable capsule

A dosage form article suitable for oral administration may include more than one compartment, each formed by a plurality of distinct segments of the dosage form article. The dosage form article may also include a signaling means and a drug, wherein the signaling means and the drug are each stored in different compartments physically separated from one another. Both the drug and the signaling means may be wholly incorporated within the dosage form article, the respective compartments being arranged to fully enclose the drug and signaling means only when at least two of the plurality of distinct segments are connected.

Dosage form articles

A dosage form article suitable for oral administration, comprising more than one compartments each delimited by a plurality of distinct segments selected from the group consisting of body parts, cap parts and combinations thereof. The dosage form article comprises: at least one first body part and at least one first cap part each comprising inner and outer surfaces, wherein the first body and cap parts are telescopically engageable; and at least one second body part, comprising inner and outer surfaces, being telescopically engageable with the at least one first body or cap parts or both. The at least one of the second body parts is arranged within the at least one first body part or cap part or both such that a distinct first compartment is formed between the outer surface of the second body part and the inner surface of the first body part or cap part or both.

The invention relates to a capsule comprising a hollow tubular body (), a hollow cap () telescopically engageable on the body (), the body () and the cap () defining an inner volume therebetween and being provided with complementary snap-fit means () for locking the cap () on the body () in the fully closed final position, the complementary snap-fit means () comprising a locking ring () formed on the body () and a complementary ridge member () formed on the cap (), at least one air-vent () formed as an axial recess on the outer surface of the body () and suitable for ensuring fluid communication between the inner volume and the atmosphere. The capsule () is configured such that, in the fully closed final position, the inner surface of the cap () fits on the outer surface of the body () over a continuous circumferential contact section () and the air-vent () axially extends from the open end () of the body () toward the contact section (), so as to provide fluid communication between the inner volume and the atmosphere over the whole range of engagement positions, excluding the fully closed final position wherein the inner surface of the cap () sealingly engages the outer surface of the body () over the contact section ().
