A driving assistance apparatus includes an outside recognition device, a locator unit, and a driving control unit. The outside recognition device is configured to acquire traffic environment information around the vehicle. The locator unit is configured to store road map information and detect a position of the vehicle based on a positioning signal. The driving control unit is configured to control the vehicle based on forward traffic environment information acquired by the outside recognition device. The driving control unit is configured to execute a wrong-way driving detection process and a restricted traffic zone determination process to determine whether the vehicle is performing wrong-way driving in an oncoming lane. The wrong-way driving detection process involves detecting wrong-way driving of the vehicle from the traffic environment information, and the restricted traffic zone determination process involves detecting a restricted traffic zone in a driving lane of the vehicle from the traffic environment information.

Driving assistance apparatus

A driving assist apparatus for a vehicle includes a front-side-environment recognition camera, a front-side-environment recognition sensor, and a control device. The front-side-environment recognition camera is configured to recognize a driving environment ahead of the vehicle. The front-side-environment recognition sensor is configured to recognize the driving environment ahead of the vehicle. In a case where image recognition of the front-side-environment recognition camera for a leading vehicle for adaptive cruise control has deteriorated during execution of the adaptive cruise control, the control device is configured to continue executing the adaptive cruise control based on a distance from the vehicle to the leading vehicle obtained by the front-side-environment recognition sensor.

Driving assist apparatus for vehicle

A vehicle driving support device includes a turn-signal switch switched on by a driver of the vehicle in the vehicle's course change, a rear side detector that detects an approaching vehicle on a lane to which the course of the vehicle is to be changed, turn-signal lamps on the right and left sides of the vehicle, and a turn-signal display processor displaying one of the turn-signal lamps which is on the side of the lane when the turn-signal switch is on. The turn-signal display processor includes a closeness determiner that determines whether the approaching vehicle is close to the vehicle when the turn-signal switch is on and the rear side detector detects the approaching vehicle, and a standby-state processor that, if that the approaching vehicle is close to the vehicle, causes the one of the turn-signal lamps to be a standby state and informs the driver of the standby state.

Vehicle driving support device

A moving-object detection apparatus for a vehicle includes first and second detectors and a moving-object detector. The first and the second detectors are configured to scan rear-side and front-side regions of the vehicle to detect first and second targets as reference targets, respectively. The moving-object detector is configured to detect a movement of a moving object on the basis of the detected first and second targets. The moving object is determined with the first and the second targets. The moving-object detector includes an interpolation-region setting unit, an estimation-trajectory setting unit, and a target checking unit. The interpolation-region setting unit is configured to set a first interpolation region and set a second interpolation region. The estimation-trajectory setting unit is configured to set an estimation trajectory on a time axis. The target checking unit is configured to check a matching degree between the estimation trajectory and the second target.

Moving-object detection apparatus for vehicle

According to a first embodiment, there is provided a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material-containing layer containing a first active material having a spinel type crystal structure. The positive electrode satisfies the formulas (1) to (3) when combined with a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material-containing layer containing a first active material having a spinel type crystal structure: 0.5&#x2264;a1/b1&#x2264;1.5 (1); 0.4&#x2264;a2/b2&#x2264;1.4 (2); and 0.5&#x2264;a3/b3&#x2264;2.3 (3), where a1 and b1 are a pore volume per 1 g weight, a2 and b2 are a pore specific surface area, and a3 and b3 are a median diameter in pore distribution, for the positive and negative electrode active material-containing layers, respectively.

According to one embodiment, there is provided a nonaqueous electrolyte battery including a positive electrode. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material-containing layer. The positive electrode active material-containing layer includes at least one lithium-nickel composite oxide and a conductive agent. A vehicle traveling environment detecting apparatus includes first to third stereo cameras, first to third image processors, and an image controller. The first stereo camera includes first and second cameras. The second stereo camera includes the first camera and a third camera. The third stereo camera includes the second camera and a fourth camera. The first to third image processors are configured to perform stereo image processing on first to third outside images and thereby determine first to third image processing information including first to third distance information, respectively. The first to third outside images are configured to be obtained through imaging of an environment outside the vehicle by the first to third stereo cameras, respectively. The image controller is configured to perform integration of the first image processing information, the second image processing information, and the third image processing information and thereby recognize a traveling environment of the vehicle.

Vehicle traveling environment detecting apparatus and vehicle traveling controlling system

An automatic driving system includes a vehicle control calculator, a f recognizer, a passerby recognition calculator, and a notifier. The vehicle control calculator causes an vehicle to perform automatic traveling along a traveling route. The recognizer acquires information on a traveling environment ahead of the vehicle. The passerby recognition calculator recognizes a passerby ahead of the vehicle based on the information on the traveling environment. The notifier notifies the passerby of a recognition state that the passerby is recognized, when the passerby is recognized by the passerby recognition calculator. The passerby recognition calculator examines whether the recognized passerby is facing a direction of the vehicle based on information on the passerby, acquired by the recognizer, and specifies the passerby as a notification target passerby when recognizing the passerby facing the direction of the vehicle. The notifier notifies the recognition state to the notification target passerby.

Automatic driving system

According to one embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte is provided. The positive electrode includes an active material including LiMnAlMO(&#x2212;0.1&#x2264;x&#x2264;1, 0.20&#x2264;y&#x2264;0.35, 0&#x2264;z&#x2264;0.1, M is at least one metal selected from Mg, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, and Sn). The negative electrode includes an active material including a first oxide represented by LiTiO(&#x2212;0.5&#x2264;a&#x2264;3) and a second oxide of at least one element selected from Al, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Ni, Zn, and Zr. The second oxide is included in an amount of from 300 ppm to 5000 ppm relative to a weight of the first oxide.

Nonaqueous electrolyte battery and battery pack

The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to one embodiment includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode contains a positive electrode active material containing manganese-containing composite oxide. The negative electrode contains a negative electrode active material selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide and titanium-containing composite oxide. A ratio p/n of a capacity p per unit area of the positive electrode to a capacity n per unit area of the negative electrode is in the range of 0.8 or more and 1 or less.

According to one embodiment, there is provided a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material-including layer including a positive electrode active material, which includes a lithium-manganese oxide LiMnMO, and a conductive agent. In the positive electrode active material-including layer, an average particle diameter dis within 2 &#x3bc;m to 5 &#x3bc;m, a particle diameter dand a particle diameter d, where a cumulative frequency from a smaller side is, respectively, 10% and 90%, is within 0.5 &#x3bc;m to 3 &#x3bc;m and within 4 &#x3bc;m to 10 &#x3bc;m, respectively, in a particle size distribution. X, represented by X=(d&#x2212;d) /dis within 0.4 to 0.8. Y, represented by Y=(d&#x2212;d)/dis within 0.2 to 0.6.

Positive electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte battery

According to one embodiment, there is provided a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive current collector and a positive electrode material layer formed on the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode material layer includes a positive electrode active material and a first conductive agent. In a mapping image for the positive electrode material layer, a ratio of an occupancy area of the first conductive agent to an occupancy area of the positive electrode active material is from 1.5 to 5.
