A resin tank and a method for manufacturing a resin tank in which positional deviation and deformation of an inserted member is prevented. In a resin tank formed through resin injection molding, a gradually changing thickness portion in which a thickness of a resin layer gradually changes from one side to the other side with respect to a surface of an insert plate for attachment of an auxiliary component is formed in the resin layer at a region into which the insert plate is inserted.

Resin tank and method for manufacturing resin tank

A fuel tank structure that makes it difficult for mud, water, dust or the like to enter a fuel tank and that can restrict a fuel leakage path when a vehicle falls. A fuel cap includes a cap body mounted to a fuel supply port of a fuel tank, and a pressure adjusting device provided in the cap body to adjust a pressure in the fuel tank. In the fuel cap, a space is formed as a hermetically closed space in which the pressure adjusting device is accommodated, and the space communicates with an exterior of the fuel tank via a breather tube.

A resin-made fuel tank includes: a resin-made fuel tank body provided by bonding an upper half body and a lower half body to each other; and a barrier sheet layer provided on an inner surface of the fuel tank body and provided for reducing permeation of fuel from the fuel tank body, wherein an edge of the barrier sheet layer is disposed in a vicinity of an upper bonding surface and a lower bonding surface where the upper half body and the lower half body are bonded to each other in a mating manner, the edge has a bent portion which bends toward an outside of the fuel tank body, and the bent portion is embedded in the fuel tank body at a position spaced apart from the upper bonding surface and the lower bonding surface.

Resin-made fuel tank

A resin-made fuel tank includes: a resin-made fuel tank main body provided by joining an upper half and a lower half; a barrier sheet layer that is provided on an inner surface of the fuel tank main body and that reduces permeation of a fuel from the fuel tank main body; and a front mounting stay and rear mounting stays for mounting the fuel tank main body to a vehicle body. The front mounting stay and the rear mounting stays are provided on the fuel tank main body at positions vertically spaced from an upper joint surface and a lower joint surface at which the upper half and the lower half re joined to each other.

A resin-made tank includes a mouthpiece capable of covering an inner peripheral surface, a distal end surface and an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical filling portion, wherein a fuel tank body has a mouthpiece fixing portion to which a mouthpiece fixing jig is fixed. The mouthpiece has an annular skirt portion that covers the outer peripheral surface. The skirt portion has a fitting portion that is fitted on an upper portion of the outer peripheral surface on an upper portion of the skirt portion, and has a large diameter portion having a larger diameter than the fitting portion on a lower portion of the skirt portion. The mouthpiece has a stay portion extending radially outward of the mouthpiece from the large diameter portion, and a fixing hole, through which the mouthpiece fixing jig passes, is provided in the stay portion.

Resin-made tank

A handle weight mounting structure of a straddle-type vehicle which achieves a simple structure and thereby enables a reduction of variation in the vibration isolating performance and a cost reduction. A fastening bolt includes a shank portion in which an external thread portion to be screwed and joined to the inner face of a handle pipe is formed; and a head portion which is formed on an end part of the shank portion for pressing the outer weight in the axial direction of the handle pipe, the shank portion includes a lock portion which is designed to couple the outer weight and the inner weight to each other. The lock portion is provided on an end part of the external thread portion opposite from the head portion.

Handle weight mounting structure of straddle-type vehicle

A tank cover attachment structure of a straddle type vehicle that can easily and precisely attach a tank cover, which covers the area ranging from the side of a fuel tank to the side of the upper portion of an engine, on the vehicle body side with the highly strong and simple structure. Tank supporting brackets connect left and right front edge portions of a fuel tank to a support rod on the vehicle body side. Engaging portions, which extend outside in the width direction of the vehicle relative to connecting portions with the fuel tank, are integrally provided to the tank supporting brackets. Tank covers are joined to the engaging portions.

A canister layout structure in a motorcycle includes a swing arm vertically swingably supported to a rear portion of a body frame and supporting a wheel, a canister located below the swing arm for trapping an evaporative fuel evaporated in a fuel tank, and a center stand pivotably supported to a lower portion of the body frame for making the body frame stand on a road surface when parking. The center stand is retractable to keep a horizontal position substantially parallel to a road surface during running. The canister is located above the center stand in its retracted condition.
