An antenna includes an antenna body and a housing case. The antenna body configured to enter a first mode exhibiting an artificial magnetic conductor character with respect to an electromagnetic wave in a first frequency band and configured to enter in a second mode (TM mode) serving as a resonator for the electromagnetic wave in a second frequency band higher than the first frequency band. The housing case includes a bottom plate on which the antenna body is installed and a side wall provided standing from the bottom plate and spaced with a distance from a periphery of the antenna body. The housing case is a case made of metal including an opening in a face through which the electromagnetic wave enters and exits.

An electronic device is configured to be installed in a mobile body. The electronic device comprises an electric field generator, an electric field detector, and a controller. The electric field generator is configured to generate an electric field in a predetermined range. The electric field detector is configured to detect the electric field generated by the electric field generator. The controller is configured to detect an object in the predetermined range based on a change of the electric field detected by the electric field detector. The controller is configured to control the mobile body based on a result of detecting the object.

A brake lever and a transmission with a novel antenna are provided. The brake lever is attachable to the handlebar. The brake lever includes a long portion configured as including an electrically conductive material and an antenna located on the long portion. The antenna includes a first conductor, a second conductor facing the first conductor in a first direction, a third conductor, a fourth conductor, and a power supply line configured to be electromagnetically connected to the third conductor. The third conductor is located between the first conductor and the second conductor, is configured to capacitively connect the first conductor and the second conductor, and extends in the first direction. The fourth conductor is connected to the first conductor and the second conductor and extends in the first direction. The fourth conductor faces the long portion.

The first conductor, the second conductor, and the third conductor are at least partially exposed to exterior space.

There is provided a new type of structure that resonates at a predetermined frequency, an antenna, a wireless communication module, and a wireless communication device. The structure includes a first conductor that extends in a second direction, a second conductor, a third conductor, a fourth conductor. The second conductor faces the first conductor in a first direction and that extends along the second direction. The third conductor is configured to capacitively connect the first conductor and the second conductor. The fourth conductor is configured to be electrically connected to the first conductor and the second conductor and extends along a first plane. Each of the first conductor and the second conductor includes a portion that extends along the second direction and that is exposed to an exterior space.

An electronic device is configured to perform electric field communication via an electric field transmission medium. The electronic device includes a housing. The electronic device also includes a first electrode portion for electric field communication including a first electrode and a second electrode, a second electrode portion for electric field communication including a third electrode and a fourth electrode, and a differential amplifier. The second electrode is disposed further in a direction towards the inside of the housing than the first electrode. The fourth electrode is disposed further in a direction towards the inside of the housing than the third electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are connected to a first input terminal of the differential amplifier. The second electrode and the fourth electrode are connected to a second input terminal of the differential amplifier.

Electronic device

An electronic device according to the present disclosure is configured to perform electric field communication via an electric field transmission medium. The electronic device includes a first electrode and a second electrode for performing electric field communication, and a first magnetic sheet. The first electrode portion has at least a first loop antenna. The first magnetic sheet is disposed adjacent to the first electrode portion.

Electronic device for performing electric field communication

A wearable device includes a detection module configured to be worn by an upper limb of a user and detect a body motion in the upper limb, and a controller configured to detect the body motion in the upper limb on a basis of a detection result from the detection module and generate a control signal in accordance with the body motion. If the controller detects, as the body motion, at least two of a finger motion, a hand motion, and an arm motion in the upper limb within a first predetermined period of time, the controller recognizes the two body motions as a series of body motions and generates, as the control signal, a first control signal in accordance with the series of body motions.

Wearable device

A portable electronic device is capable of transforming into first and second states, and is equipped with an antenna disposed such that in the first state the antenna is near a magnetic field-shielding part and communication is not possible and in the second state the antenna is separated from the magnetic field-shielding part and communication is possible. This portable electronic device is equipped with: an operation-unit-side chassis; a display-unit-side chassis; a connecting part that connects the operation-unit-side chassis and the display-unit-side chassis such that transformation to the first state and to the second state are possible; a magnetic field-shielding part disposed in the operation-unit-side chassis; and an antenna that is disposed in the display-unit-side chassis.

Portable electronic device

A portable electronic device which can be changed between a first state and a second state includes an antenna that forms a loop in the first state and does not form the loop in the second state. A mobile telephone includes an operation unit-side casing, a display unit-side casing, a linking part which links the operation unit-side casing and the display unit-side casing; and a loop antenna. The loop antenna includes a first part disposed at the operation unit-side casing; a second part disposed at the display unit-side casing; a contacting part disposed at the operation unit-side casing; and a contacted part disposed at the display unit-side casing.

Provided is a portable electronic device which can be changed between a first state and a second state and comprises an antenna that forms a loop in the first state and does not form the loop in the second state. A mobile telephone comprises: an operation unit-side casing; a display unit-side casing; a linking part which links the operation unit-side casing and the display unit-side casing in such a way that it is possible to change between the first state and the second state; and a loop antenna which is disposed at the operation unit-side casing and the display unit-side casing and is changed to form a loop in the first state and not to form the loop in the second state.
