A liquid droplet ejection device including: a liquid droplet ejection head including a nozzle, a supply channel, a discharge channel, a filter, and a communicating channel; and a liquid feeder that performs a liquid feeding operation causing the liquid in the supply channel and the discharge channel to flow in the liquid feeding direction. A mesh diameter of the filter is smaller than an aperture diameter of the nozzle, and the liquid feeder performs the liquid feeding operation in such a way that a pressure loss in the filter is smaller than a first meniscus break pressure at which a meniscus of the liquid ruptures in the filter.

A common discharge flow path may be connected to the plurality of subsequent stages individual discharge flow paths included in the plurality of ink emitters, and the ink which passes through the plurality of subsequent stage individual discharge flow paths flows.

Ink-jet recording apparatus

Provided is an inkjet head including a plurality of ink dischargers, a first common ejection flow path, and a second common ejection flow path. Each of the ink dischargers includes an ink storage, a pressure changer, a nozzle, and a first individual ejection flow path and a second individual ejection flow path that communicate to the ink storage and through which ink is ejected from fee ink storage but not supplied to the nozzle. An ink jet head with a head chip including a nozzle layer with nozzles for jetting ink and a pressure chamber layer with pressure chambers communicated respectively with the nozzles; and a manifold which stores the ink to be supplied to the pressure chambers; where the head chip has individual communication flow paths which are communicated respectively with the pressure chambers and which are capable of discharging the ink in the pressure chambers; and a common communication flow path which is disposed in a part facing the nozzle layer of the pressure chamber layer and which is connected to the individual communication flow paths to join the ink discharged from the individual communication flow paths together.
