Methods, computer programs and receiving wireless devices for operating a receiving wireless device associated with a group are provided, wherein the group includes the receiving wireless device and a transmitting wireless device. The method includes receiving a groupcast data packet from the transmitting wireless device of the group. The method further includes determining a distance of the receiving wireless device from the transmitting wireless device. The method further includes selecting a communication resource for one of an Acknowledgement, ACK, message or Negative Acknowledgement, NACK, message for the groupcast data packet, wherein the communication resource is selected based on the distance from the transmitting wireless device. The method further includes transmitting the one of the ACK message or NACK message for the groupcast data packet using the communication resource selected based on the distance from the transmitting wireless device.

Link adaptation for sidelink groupcast

A technique for transmitting and receiving data in a radio communication from a second radio device to a first radio device is described. As to a method aspect of the technique, one or more radio resources are determined based on radio signals received at the first radio device. The one or more radio resources comprise at least one spatial stream among different spatial streams receivable at the first radio device. A status message indicative of the one or more determined radio resources is transmitted to the second radio device. The data from the second radio device is received at the first radio device on at least one radio resource depending on the one or more radio resources indicated in the transmitted status message.

Technique for device-to-device communication based on radio signals received from one or more radio sources

A technique for transmitting and receiving a sequence of symbols on a sidelink, SL, in a transmission time interval, TTI, is described. As to a method aspect of the technique, an automatic gain control, AGC, is performed for the SL based on at least one first symbol of the SL in the TTI. Based on the AGC, SL control information, SCI, encoded in at least one second symbol of the SL in the TTI is received. Data encoded in at least one third symbol of the SL in the TTI is received based on the SCI.

Technique for sidelink radio communication

A transmitting UE schedules radio frequency resources for use in a data transmission. The transmitting UE determines the transmission bandwidth, subject to certain restrictions, such as allowed DFT sizes for the UE for a data transmission. The determination may be performed through autonomous resource selection operations and/or may be performed using information received through signaling received from the network node as part of a scheduling grant. The UE further determines the ALLOCATED BANDWIDTH. The ALLOCATED BANDWIDTH can be determined based on the TRANSMISSION BANDWIDTH, which has been determined, using a defined rule. Furthermore, the UE generates and transmits toward a receiving UE a scheduling assignment (SA) that indicates the number or the set of subchannels that are within, and conform to, the ALLOCATED BANDWIDTH which was determined. The UE can then perform the data transmission using the SA indicated number or set of subchannels.

Method and arrangements, e.g. a device, relating to provision of adjustments of power spectral densities associated with a reference signal sequence in a wireless communication network. A single reference signal sequence is assigned to simultaneous transmissions of a plurality of physical channels, each physical channel occupying a different frequency region of a frequency range, each physical channel having different characteristics. An adjustment of a Power Spectral Density, PSD, of the single reference signal sequence is provided in each physical channel of the physical channels in the frequency region occupied by the physical channel.

Adjustments of power spectral densities associated with a reference signal sequence in a wireless communication network

A system, communication device, and method for scheduling transmissions from the communication device. The device predicts an arrival time of a next packet for transmission when a current packet arrives in a transmission buffer. The device plans a future transmission time of the next packet based on the predicted arrival time of the next packet, and books transmission resources for the planned future transmission time. If the next packet has arrived a Tdrop time period before the planned future transmission time, the device transmits the next packet. If the next packet has not arrived at that time, the device re-plans the future transmission time of the next packet. The device may then unbook the transmission resources for the planned future transmission time, book transmission resources for the re-planned future transmission time, and notify other communication devices that the unbooked transmission resources are available for use by the other communication devices.

Method for scheduling vehicle-to-vehicle communications

In wireless device-to-device, D2D, communication data are transmitted directly from a first wireless device to a second wireless device. In response to the direct transmission of data, the second wireless device transmits feedback data indicating at least one quality of the data received in the second wireless device. More precisely, according to the invention, a radio access network node controls the direct transmission of data by means of downlink control information to the first and second wireless devices, and the feedback data are received in the radio access network node. The radio access network node preferably also uses the received feedback to control at least one of the first and second wireless devices.

The method comprises determining one or more time resources in a particular carrier from one or more pools of time resources for a sidelink operation by the wireless device. The method comprises sending a gap request message to a network node, the gap request message indicating one or more gaps requested by the wireless device, the one or more gaps comprising the determined one or more time resources for the sidelink operation.

Inter-carrier D2D resource allocation

The disclosure relates to a method performed by a UE, for using subframes of a radio access network for a D2D communication. The method comprises determining subframes available for D2D communication among subframes of the radio access network. The subframes available for D2D communication exclude a number of subframes of the radio access network, such that a periodicity of the D2D communication in number of subframes divides the number of subframes available for D2D communication. The method also comprises using the determined subframes for enabling D2D communication.

Device-to-device transmission using radio resources of a radio access network

According to some embodiments of inventive concepts, a method may be provided to operate a UE providing sidelink communications with other wireless devices. The method may include scheduling a first transmission from the UE, wherein the first transmission has a first priority. The method may also include scheduling a second transmission from the UE, wherein the second transmission has a second priority, wherein the first priority is greater than the second priority, and wherein the first and second transmissions are scheduled for transmission during a time interval. The method may further include transmitting the first transmission during the time interval, and responsive to determining a violation of a timing limit corresponding to scheduling the first and second transmissions during the time interval and responsive to the first priority being greater than the second priority, dropping transmitting the second transmission during the time interval.

Method for D2D communication in a wireless device comprising receiving a D2D communication from another wireless device, the D2D communication comprising a first detection sequence of a plurality of detection sequences. Each detection sequence is associated with a respective different radio access technology or service type so that the first detection sequence identifies a radio access technology or service type associated with the D2D communication. The method also comprises selecting a transmission procedure for a D2D transmission from the second wireless device based on the first detection sequence, and performing the D2D transmission using the selected transmission procedure.
