A scalpel handle for holding a blade includes a handle member and a finger-operable actuator having a blade shield portion. The actuator is mounted upon the handle member for movement relative thereto between a first condition at which the blade shield portion covers the edge of the blade and a second condition at which the blade shield portion is disposed in out-of-the-way position so that by moving the actuator between the first and second conditions, the blade shield portion is moved between its blade-covering and its out-of-the-way positions. An over center spring is interposed between the actuator and the handle member so that upon movement of the actuator into its second condition, the blade shield portion is biased into the out-of-the-way position and so that upon movement of the actuator into its first condition, the blade shield portion is biased into the blade-covering position.

A scalpel handle for holding a blade includes a handle member and a blade shield for covering the cutting edge of the blade. The blade shield is connected to the handle member for movement relative thereto between a blade-covering position and an out-of-the-way position, and a finger-operable actuator is mounted upon the handle member for movement relative thereto and is connected to the shield so that by moving the actuator between first and second conditions, the shield is moved between its blade-covering and its out-of-the-way positions. An over center spring is interposed between the actuator and the handle member so that upon movement of the actuator into its second condition, the shield is biased into the out-of-the-way position and so that upon movement of the actuator into its first condition, the shield is biased into the blade-covering position.

A scalpel handle for holding a blade having a cutting edge includes a handle member and a blade shield for covering the blade cutting edge. The blade shield is connected to the handle member for pivotal movement relative thereto between a blade-covering condition and an out-of-the-way condition, and a movable shield latch mechanism is capable of releasably locking the blade shield in its blade-covering condition. A finger-operable actuator mechanism is mounted upon the handle member for movement between first and second conditions, and a spring is interposed between the actuator mechanism and the handle member. During a first phase of movement of the actuator mechanism from its first to its second condition, the shield latch mechanism unlocks the blade shield from its locked blade-covering condition, and during a second phase of movement, the blade shield is moved from its blade-covering condition to its out-of-the-way condition.

A folding seat assembly is attachable to the upright vertical post for a tennis net and consists of a pair of interchangeable clamp brackets secured around the vertical post. An upper elongated tube is pivotally mounted to the upper clamp bracket and is slidably mounted to a bottom seat guide. A lower elongated tube is pivotally connected to the bottom clamp bracket and is pivotally connected to the bottom seat assembly to create a triangular support for the seat. A second seat can extend from the opposite side of the same pair of clamp brackets. The seat(s) are maintained in a vertical inactive position by an over-center arrangement and a detent mechanism.

A motorized drawer is moved from a fully closed to a fully open position, or vice versa, in response to user activation of a single pole double throw switch. The motor moving the drawer is connected to the user activated control switch and to a limit switch. Whenever the drawer reaches one of the end positions, a limit switch opens the circuit through which the motor was energized to move the drawer to that position. At the same time, the limit switch partially completes the circuit for energizing the motor in the opposite direction. The latter circuit is completed when the user again activates the control switch, i.e. completes the circuit allowing current flow through the motor in the direction required to drive the drawer to the other end.
