The invention provides a small-sized automatic analyzer being compact, enabling a large number of analysis items to be carried out, and having a high processing speed. The automatic analyzer is particularly suitably applied to a medical analyzer used for qualitative/quantitative analysis of living body samples, such as urine and blood. A plurality of sample dispensing mechanism s capable of being operated independently of each other are provided to suck a sample from any one of a plurality of sample suction positions and to discharge the sucked sample to any one of a plurality of positions on a reaction disk. The automatic analyzer having a high processing capability can be thus realized without increasing the system size.

Sample dispensing apparatus and automatic analyzer including the same

An automated analyzer includes a conveyance mechanism to convey a specimen, an analysis portion to analyze the specimen, and a device cover to cover a movable mechanism including the conveyance mechanism. The automated analyzer is provided with an interlock mechanism and an interlock release mechanism. The interlock mechanism stops an operation of the movable mechanism when the device cover is opened. The interlock release mechanism disables all or part of the interlock mechanism. The interlock mechanism is enabled when a leveris in contact with a safety switch. The interlock mechanism is disabled or partially disabled when the leveris not in contact with the safety switch. This enables to prevent a user from inadvertently touching the movable mechanism including a hazard region during analysis of the automated analyzer or a maintenance task. Only a specific maintenance task can be performed with the device cover opened.

Automated analyzer and maintenance method for same

An automatic analyzer capable of replenishing a reagent even during an analysis and minimizing a suspension of the analysis. The automatic analyzer includes a plurality of reaction cells and a unit for holding reagents used in analyses. A plurality of reagents are dispensed to a sample in each reaction cell with a time difference to develop a reaction, and a liquid after the reaction is measured. After temporarily stopping the operation of dispensing the sample for a preset time during the analysis, the sample dispensing operation is restarted. Then, the sample dispensing operation is temporarily stopped again for the preset time at the timing in the dispensing of the reagent corresponding to the timing at which the sample dispensing operation was temporarily stopped. In the automatic analyzer, therefore, an analysis suspension due to registration and replacement of reagents during the analysis can be minimized, a larger number of reagents can be loaded, and a throughput per unit time can be increased.

Automatic analyzer

An automatic analyzer, comprising disposable parts such as large quantities of nozzle tips and reaction containers for use in sample analysis inspection, wherein the part rack () holding unused parts is raised from a lowest position to a rack separation station (A) by a lift for supply () and separated so that only the uppermost stacked part rack can remain on the rack separation station, the separated part rack is moved to a part take-out station (B) where parts on the part rack are taken out one by one from a movable holding part (), and, by opening the floor part of the part take-out station (B) after part consumption, the used part rack is allowed to fall down and recovered on the lift () of a recovery lifter (), whereby the supply of an unused part rack on which unused parts are loaded and the recovery of a used part rack can be performed with a compact system configuration.

Automatic analyzer and part feeding device used for the analyzer

In order to reduce carry-over of sample liquids in an automatic analyzer by a pipeting probe and resulting contamination of sample liquids by immersing the pipeting probe into sample liquids as shallow as possible, said pipeting probe is moving down to a position which is calculated and determined according to the detected height of a container temporarily stopping said probe there, and further moving down said probe to immerse said probe into the liquid in said container.

A sample analysis system includes blood serum analysis units, blood plasma analysis units and urine analysis units which are arranged along a main conveyor line. The width size of each analysis unit on the side along the main conveyor line is the same. Each analysis unit can be removed integral with a sampling line and its rack transfer device from, the main conveyor line. Removed analysis units can be replaced by each other without changing the entry and exit positions for the sample rack. The conveyor line has the same number of line frame segments as the number of the analysis units.
