A pressure angle of the worm is set to be greater than a pressure angle of the worm wheel so that a maximum number of meshing teeth becomes smaller than or equal to n (where n is a natural number) with respect to the speed reduction mechanism in which a number of meshing teeth is always n+1 or changed between n+1 and n by rotation under a condition in which the pressure angles of the worm and the worm wheel are the same with respect to each other.

Speed reduction mechanism, motor with speed reduction mechanism, and method for producing speed reduction mechanism

A rotating electric machine includes a rotor, a stator and an Insulating resin. The stator includes a stator core and a stator coil that is partially received in slots of the stator core so as to have a pair of coil end parts protruding outside of the slots respectively on opposite axial sides of the stator core. The stator coil is formed of a plurality of electric wire segments, each of which includes an electric conductor and an Insulating coat that covers an outer surface of the electric conductor. The insulating resin is applied to the coil end parts of the stator coil so as to cover the outer surfaces of the insulating coats of the electric wire segments forming the stator coil. Further, a tensile strength of the insulating coats of the electric wire segments is higher than an adhesion strength between the insulating resin and the insulating coats.

Rotating electric machine

A wiper motor has an output shaft that outputs a to-and-fro rotation to swing a wiper pivotally. A transmission mechanism transmits the rotational force from the motor body. A clutch mechanism lets the transmission mechanism run idle not to transmit the rotational force from the transmission mechanism to the output shaft when the output shaft is subjected to a torque larger than an engagement releasing torque. The engagement releasing torque is specified to a value larger than a maximum wiping torque to which the torque applied by the wiper onto the output shaft is estimated to reach during a normal wiping operation of the wiper.

Wiper motor and wiper apparatus

An input disk, a clutch disk and wave washers are installed to an output shaft to form an output shaft assembly of a motor apparatus. The input disk is axially non-detachable from the output shaft and is rotatable about an axis of the output shaft. The input disk is driven by a drive force supplied from a motor main body of the motor apparatus. The clutch disk is supported by the output shaft in such a manner that the clutch disk is non-rotatable relative to the output shaft and is axially movable along the output shaft relative to the input disk. The wave washers apply a resistive force against axial movement of the clutch disk from a coupled state, at which the input disk is coupled with the clutch disk to rotate together.

Motor apparatus and wiper motor apparatus

An input disk and a clutch disk are supported by an output shaft in such a manner that the input disk is rotatable relative to the output shaft, and the clutch disk is non-rotatable relative to and is axially movable relative to the output shaft. When a large load torque is exerted about the output shaft, relative rotation between the input disk and the clutch disk occurs. A connecting rod has one end connected to a worm wheel, and is reciprocally swung through rotation of the worm wheel. A rotatable lever has one end, which is connected to the other end of the connecting rod, and has the other end, which is engaged with and is secured integrally with the gear teeth of the input disk.

Motor apparatus

In a clutch device, an output shaft supports an input disk rotatably about an axis thereof, and a clutch disk non-rotatably about the axis and movably in an axial direction of the output shaft. An elastic member exerts resistive force on the input disk or the clutch disk when the clutch disk is about to come out of an engagement with the input disk. One of the input disk and the clutch disk has a trailing surface inclined by a predetermined angle from the axis, and the other has a curved control surface to come in a line contact with the trailing surface in a circumferential direction of the output shaft. The trailing surface and the curved control surface generate a component force of a driving force in the axial direction. The other having the curved control surface is higher in hardness than the one having the trailing surface.

Clutch device and motor apparatus having the same

A coupling apparatus is provided with a first coupling member, a second coupling member and a damper member. The damper member is arranged between the first coupling member and the second coupling member. At least one of the first coupling member and the second coupling member has a tubular circumferential wall surrounding the outer circumference of the damper member. Accordingly, it is easy to control the diameter of an accommodating hole accommodating the coupling apparatus.

Coupling apparatus, motor device, and wiper motor device

Initiation of coupling between an input disk and a clutch disk at a maximum rotational coupling force without making relative rotation between the input disk and the clutch disk is enabled only when the output shaft is placed in a single engageable point within a normal reciprocal angular range of the output shaft. When a load applied to the output shaft is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the input disk and the clutch disk are decoupled from one another, so that the relative rotation is made between the input disk and the clutch disk.

Clutch device, motor apparatus and wiper system

A connector part extends outward of a yoke housing from a holder base and is connectable with an external connector to receive an electric signal. A contact base extends from the holder base into an interior of the gear housing through a communication hole, which is formed in a yoke housing side end of the gear housing. The contact base supports terminals, which provide an electrical connection between stationary contacts and brushes. An intermittent drive unit is installed to the connector part to intermittently drive an armature through the brushes based on the electric signal received from the external connector.

Wiper motor for driving wiper

A motor apparatus is provided with a yoke housing, a gear housing and a brush holder. A receiving portion of the gear housing receives the worm wheel, etc. therein. The brush holder is interposed between the yoke housing and the gear housing. The worm wheel is provided with a switching plate on one side face thereof, which is in slide contact with contact members. The gear housing is provided with a housing body and a cover. In the housing body is formed a communication hole to communicate an internal spaces of the receiving portion and a yoke housing. The contact members are disposed on the brush holder and on the bottom portion side of the receiving portion with respect to the worm wheel so as to extend through the communication hole into the gear housing.
