A cooling device which cools an inside of an image forming apparatus that forms an image on paper, the cooling device includes an overall cooler that cools an entire inside of the image forming apparatus using overall cooling air flowing inside the image forming apparatus, and a partial cooler that blows cooling air to a part to be cooled to cool the part to be cooled, in which volume of the cooling air on a leeward side of the overall cooling air is smaller than volume of the cooling air on a windward side of the overall cooling air in the partial cooler.

Cooling device and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a processing unit, a main frame, a drive source, and a door-type positioning panel. The processing unit performs at least part of image formation. The main frame supports the processing unit such that the processing unit is pulled out or housed. The drive source is provided on the main frame and connected to a first end of a processing drive shaft of the processing unit to provide rotative power. The door-type positioning panel positions and supports a second end of the processing drive shaft by using an insert hole. An end of the door-type positioning panel is supported by the main frame such that the panel swings on a support axis. The door-type positioning panel includes a fit hole that is closer to a swinging end of the panel than to the support axis and fits to a positioning shaft provided on the main frame.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus that performs image formation on continuous paper having a toner image formed thereon by making the continuous paper pass through a nip section to fix the toner image to the continuous paper, the nip section being formed by heating at least one of a pair of fixing members and pressure-contacting the fixing members with each other, the apparatus including: a conveyance section which conveys the continuous paper; a blowing section which blows air to the heated fixing member; a pressure-contact separation section which switches the pair of fixing members between a pressure-contacted state and a separated state; and a control section which, after the image formation is finished, stops heating of the fixing member, separates the pair of fixing members with the pressure-contact separation section and blows the air to the heated fixing member with the blowing section.

An image forming apparatus includes: an intermediate transfer belt to which a toner image is transferred in a primary transfer process; a transfer roller configured to transfer the toner image onto a long paper sheet in a secondary transfer process by following rotation of the intermediate transfer belt when pressed by the intermediate transfer belt; and a fixing device configured to fix the toner image transferred in the secondary transfer process by the transfer roller, onto the paper sheet; a temperature estimating unit; and a speed control unit, wherein the fixing device includes: a heating conveyance roller provided on a lower surface side of the paper sheet; and a fixing roller provided on an upper surface side of the paper sheet, the fixing roller facing the heating conveyance roller.

A sheet feeding device having: a first conveyance roller pair that feeds a sheet; a second conveyance roller pair that feeds the sheet, the second conveyance roller pair being provided downstream from the first conveyance roller pair in a feed direction in which the sheet is fed; and a third conveyance roller pair that feeds the sheet, the third conveyance roller pair being provided downstream from the second conveyance roller pair in the feed direction, in which, when an edge of the sheet that is located on the downstream side of the feed direction is skewed with respect to a direction perpendicular to the feed direction, the second conveyance roller pair slides in the perpendicular direction with the sheet slacking between the first conveyance roller pair and the second conveyance roller pair.

An image reading device to read an image carried on a document, including: an image reading section to read an image carried on a document; a polygonal member, mounted to face the image reading section, and spaced from the image reading section at a predetermined distance, the polygonal member includes a document feeding flat surface which faces the image reading section when the document is fed thereon, a white flat surface, and a black flat surface; a light source to emit light rays onto the image carried on the document, and onto the polygonal member when the document is not fed; and a control section to control an amount of the light rays emitted from the light source; wherein the control section corrects an amount of light rays concerning the white color and the black color, based on the amount of the light rays read by the image reading section.
