A store system has a goods display area for displaying samples of goods, and a goods storage for stocking the goods to be handed, whereby a waiting time till the goods are received is reduced. A customer holds a goods input device. The goods storage is provided with a goods indicator. The customer inputs data about the want-to-get goods through the goods input device. The goods data inputted are wirelessly transmitted to the goods indicator in the goods storage. The goods indicator indicates a store clerk to immediately prepare the goods. It is therefore feasible to save a labor to carry the goods to the cash register and prepare the goods per input of the goods. Accordingly, the waiting time till the goods are received can be reduced.

Wireless order and delivery system

A data transfer system enables a terminal to download data from a base station through another terminal even if the terminal in question is unable to communicate with the base station. The system includes the base station connected to a host system, and terminals for communicating with the base station. The terminals download data from the host system through the base station. If a given terminal is unable to communicate with the base station, the given terminal downloads the data from a second terminal, if the data is stored in the second terminal. A data transmission unit for transmitting data stored in a movable terminal unit to an upper unit when the movable terminal unit is connected to the data transmission unit, includes a coupler for directly coupling the unit to a front or a rear stage data transmission unit without using a connecting cable. The coupler includes data pins for passing data from the movable terminal unit or the front stage data transmission unit to the rear stage data transmission unit or the upper unit, saving the space between adjacent units.

An apparatus driven by an output voltage of a battery when the power is ON includes a voltage detection circuit for detecting the output voltage of the battery, a judging circuit for judging whether or not a remaining capacity of the battery is greater than a predetermined value based on an output detection signal of the voltage detection circuit, and a control circuit for carrying out a resume process only if the judging circuit judges that the remaining capacity of the battery is greater than the predetermined value when the power is turned ON. The resume process returns a state of the battery powered unit to a state at a time when the power was previously turned OFF.
