A flyback transformer which comprises: a primary-side coil; a secondary-side high-voltage coil divided into a predetermined number of coil pieces; high-voltage rectifier diodes connected, in the same polarity, in series with the coil pieces respectively so as to form a series circuit as a whole; a high-voltage capacitor connected to a cathode side of one of the high-voltage rectifier diodes located in a final stage of the series circuit; and an in-phase high-voltage coil reversely connected to the one high-voltage rectifier diode in the final stage of the series circuit so that a reverse pulse generated by the in-phase high-voltage coil is superimposed on the cathode side of the one high-voltage rectifier diode. Thus, an alternating electric field can be reduced without using any expensive externally-provided high-voltage capacitor which is insulated by an exterior housing and injection resin to thereby make it possible to provide a flyback transformer which is inexpensive in cost, which is high in reliability in view of insulation, and which is easy in handling.

Flyback transformer

A display monitor which comprises a flyback transformer for supplying a high voltage to a display and an opposite-phase pulse inducing transformer. The flyback transformer includes a core, a primary-side low-voltage coil wound on the core, a secondary-side high-voltage coil wound on the core and divided into high-voltage coil pieces, rectifier diodes connected in series with respective output sides of the high-voltage coil pieces of the secondary-side high-voltage coil so as to form a series circuit, and a high-voltage capacitor connected to a cathode of one of the high-voltage rectifier diodes in a final stage of the series circuit. The opposite-phase pulse inducing transformer is constituted by a core different from the core of the flyback transformer, an opposite-phase pulse inducing coil wound on the different core for inducing a pulse which is opposite in phase to a deflecting yoke driving horizontal pulse, and a different-core high-voltage output line provided on the different core, the opposite-phase pulse inducing transformer being arranged so that the pulse opposite in phase to the deflecting yoke driving horizontal pulse is superimposed on the different-core high-voltage output line.

Display monitor

A connector apparatus for connecting a high tension cable carrying a large current to a device to be supplied with the current or a load device. The connector apparatus comprises a tubular isolating wall of an insulating resin, a cylindrical packing disposed so as to enclose the high tension cable and placed within the tubular isolating wall under a pressure, and a coil-like contact supported by the tubular isolating wall and brought into electrical contact with a contact of the high tension cable. The packing has an outer wall formed with a plurality of ridges which are intimately contacted with the inner surface of the tubular isolating wall. The coil-like contact has a cylindrical portion in which the contact of the high tension cable is placed, a coiled spring portion which is contiguous to the cylindrical portion, and a terminal portion contiguous to the coiled spring portion.

Connector apparatus for connecting high-tension cable

In a transformer for use in a receiver set, a non-magnetic material arranged in part of a closed magnetic path established by a magnetic core is made of a plastic material such as paper mash or silicon putty. The non-magnetic material is pressurized and deformed so as to set the inductance of a coil mounted on the magnetic core to a predetermined value.

Transformer with gapped core

In a high voltage rectifier for use in a television receiver set, a resistor block is incorporated therein to produce focusing and screen voltages, and a focusing voltage feeder for supplying the focusing voltage to a cathode ray tube is covered by a screen voltage feeder for supplying the screen voltage to the cathode ray tube to form a unitary high voltage insulated cable.
