The present invention provides a vehicle accessory which reliably blocks the sunlight without any mechanical operation. The vehicle accessory includes: a light controlling sheet which is attached to the windshield of a vehicle, and of which light transmittance changes according to a value of voltage; and a rear view mirror which insures a rear view of the vehicle. The rear view mirror has a front light receiving sensor which measures illumination intensity of the sunlight which enters from the front of the vehicle, a rear light receiving sensor which measures illumination intensity inside the vehicle, and a circuit board which controls voltage to be applied to the light controlling sheet. When a combination of the illumination intensity of the sunlight received by the front light receiving sensor and the illumination intensity inside the vehicle received by the rear light receiving sensor is a combination stored in storage unit in advance, the circuit board applies voltage to the light controlling sheet.

A colored anti-fog mirror that emits reflected light in response to incident light, the colored anti-fog mirror comprising a substrate, a hydrophilic functional layer containing a photocatalytic substance, and a metallic reflecting film provided between the substrate and the hydrophilic functional layer, wherein a material of the metallic reflecting film and a thickness of the hydrophilic functional layer are set such that the reflected light has a spectral reflection spectrum having a maximum reflectance in the visible region over 510 nm and not more than 600 nm.

Or electrode-cum-reflective film is formed on the backside film of the electrochromic film, to thereby achieve a reflective mirror. An anti-glare and anti-fog element or an exterior mirror for automobiles wherein spectral reflectance characteristics of the anti-glare and anti-fog element can be set so that predetermined color phase may be presented at the time of un-operating of an anti-glare function by a substrate having wave length selective property, and along with this surface dirt can be disassembled and economical efficiency and chemical stability are satisfied, can be provided. Also, color phase of the mirrors which have mutually different functions among plurality of mirrors is determined as a predetermined color phase, and the color phase can be set to the same extent, and the combination of the mirror which does not give a sense of incongruity visually can be embodied.

On the surface of a light-transmitting plate material , a transparent metal thin film is provided, and further, on the surface of the transparent metal thin film , a hydrophilic functional layer containing a photocatalytic substance is provided. The hydrophilic functional layer comprises a laminate of, from the side of the transparent metal thin film , a photocatalytic layer containing a photocatalytic substance and a hydrophilic layer containing a hydrophilic substance.

An electrochromic layer consisting of an electrochromic material film and an electrolyte is provided between transparent electrode films of two glass substrates. An ultraviolet radiation stabilizing agent is not added to the electrolyte. A photocatalytic layer and a porous inorganic hydrophilic layer are formed on the front surface side of the front side glass substrate to make the surface of the device hydrophilic. The photocatalytic layer is excited by irradiation of ultraviolet radiation and decomposes dirt deposited on the surface of the porous inorganic hydrophilic layer, thereby maintaining the hydrophilic property. Since the photocatalytic layer absorbs ultraviolet radiation, occurrence of a photochromism in the electrochromic material film can be prevented.
