Air circulation passages connect an accommodation space of an electronic control unit to the outside to circulate air to buffer internal pressure fluctuations. The accommodation space side of the air circulation passages is formed as a divided air circulation passage with a plurality of passages, a cooling object member is arranged to come in thermal contact with air flowing through the divided air circulation passage, and the total cross-sectional area of the divided air circulation passage is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the air circulation passages that are not divided. Because the accommodation space of the electronic control unit is connected to the outside, internal pressure fluctuations can be buffered, and increasing the flow velocity of the air flowing through the divided air circulation passage on the accommodation space side of the air circulation passages allows heat inside the accommodation space to be efficiently radiated to the outside.

Electric drive device and electric power steering device with air circulation passage

An electric drive device includes: an electronic control section including a first electronic control section and a second electronic control section which constitute a redundant system, the first electronic control section and the second electronic control section being provided with a first control section side connecter and a second control section side connecter which have an identical configuration, and the first non-control section side connecter being engaged with the first control section side connecter, and the second non-control section side connecter being engaged with the second control section side connecter to correspond to the lengths of the first harness and the second harness.

Electrical drive device and electrical power steering device

A connector terminal () is formed by a connector joining portion () that is joined to a mating connector terminal, a connector bonding portion (A) that is bent from the connector joining portion (C) and extends along a surface of a board () and a movement stopper portion (P-C) that engages with a movement stopper part (E) provided at the board () and stops the connector bonding portion (A) from moving on the surface of the board (). In a state in which the connector bonding portion (A) is put on solder applied to the board (), the movement stopper portion (P-C) engages with the movement stopper part (E) of the board (), and the connector terminal () is bonded and fixed to the board () with melted solder.

On the opposite side to an output of a rotation shaft of an electric motor, a ventilation hole communicating between an electronic control unit (ECU) housing space and an electric motor housing space is formed to an end surface wall of a motor housing separating the respective housing spaces. The ventilation hole has a waterproof ventilation part that suppresses water passing but permits the passage of air and water vapor. This structure eliminated the influence of flying rocks and muddy water from the external environment, and suppresses for a long period of time the internal pressure fluctuation of the ECU housing space and the penetration of water into the housing space. Therefore, the internal pressure fluctuation of the housing space for the ECU and the penetration of water into the housing space for the ECU can be suppressed over a long period of time.

Electric drive device and electric power steering device for suppressing pressure fluctuations and water penetration

An element-side connection terminal () extending from a power conversion circuit unit () includes a first connection terminal portion (A) that extends in a direction intersecting a direction of extension of a counterpart-side connection terminal (); and a second connection terminal portion (B) that is bent at a point before the first connection terminal portion (A) reaches the counterpart-side connection terminal () in a direction to intersect the direction of extension of the counterpart-side connection terminal () such that the second connection terminal portion (B) is provided with elasticity and is in an elastic contact with the counterpart-side connection terminal () at an angle. A tip end side (T) of the counterpart-side connection terminal () and a tip end side (T) of the second connection terminal portion (B) are electrically joined.

A circuit substrate () is provided with first and second rigid parts () having six metal foil layers, and a thin flexible part () having two metal foil layers connecting the two rigid parts. A ground wiring () which is shaped like a wide strip is formed on the surface metal foil layer, and a plurality of inter-rigid-part wirings () are formed on the inner metal foil layer in parallel lines. Outer edges () of the ground wiring () are positioned closer to side edges () of the flexible part () than to the inter-rigid-part wirings (). The ground wiring () protects the inter-rigid-part wirings () from cracks.

A motor includes a stator coil constituted by concentrated windings arranged to teeth where an integer N&#x2265;2. The stator coil includes first and second winding units and each of which is constituted by windings and which are independent from each other, the windings constituting the first winding unit are arranged in three teeth groups, each of which includes adjacent teeth and which are provided at 120-degree pitches in terms of mechanical angle, and the windings constituting the second winding unit are arranged in teeth which are the teeth not included in the three teeth groups. That is, the windings constituting the second winding unit are also arranged in three teeth groups, which are provided at 120-degree pitches in terms of mechanical angle.
