An object of the present invention is to propose heat insulating structure which is excellent in thermal insulating properties and higher in strength. The heat insulating structure includes: an aerogel layer including aerogel particles, adhesive, and fibers; and a retainer which is provided to at least one face of the aerogel layer and includes fiber materials and binder resin. Each of the fibers is part of one of the fiber materials included in the retainer.

A motion learning support apparatus displays a teaching-aid video segment and a segment of practice video of a learner alternately on a monitor, the practice video being of the learner who is imitating a motion of the teaching-aid video segment and being taken with an imaging unit. The motion learning support apparatus includes: motion detection unit to detect a motion of the learner and a motion information acquisition unit; an evaluation unit to evaluate similarity of a motion of the learner to a motion in the teaching-aid video segment; and first learning support processing unit to, when the evaluation unit evaluates that the motions are similar, switch the monitor from video taken with the imaging unit to a following teaching-aid video segment. Thereby, vividness of an image due to the illusion effect induced to the learner can be improved, and so the learning effect can be improved for supporting.

A method for producing silica aerogel according to the present invention includes: a solation step of generating a sol by adding monoalkyltrialkoxysilane to an acidic aqueous solution containing silicic acid; and a gelation step of generating a wet gel by gelating the sol. Moreover, the production method includes a drying step of removing a solvent, which is contained in the wet gel, from the wet gel by drying the wet gel at less than a critical temperature of the solvent and at less than a critical pressure of the solvent. Then, the monoalkyltrialkoxysilane is added to the acidic aqueous solution so that an amount of silicon in the monoalkyltrialkoxysilane becomes 1 mol part or more with respect to 1 mol part of an amount of silicon in the acidic aqueous solution containing the silicic acid.

Method for producing silica aerogel

A method for producing a silica aerogel includes a gelation step of adding a monoalkyltrialkoxysilane to an acidic aqueous solution containing a surfactant to prepare a sol, and then gelating the sol to prepare a wet gel. The method further includes a separation step of immersing the wet gel in a solvent mixture of a first solvent and a second solvent immiscible with the first solvent. The first solvent has an Evalue of 0.5 or less, and the second solvent has an Evalue between those of the first solvent and water. The method further includes a drying step of drying the wet gel at a temperature lower than a critical temperature of the first solvent under a pressure lower than a critical pressure of the first solvent to remove the first solvent from the wet gel.

A motion guide display device includes a head-mountable image display device that displays an image, a camera that takes a self image from a first person perspective, an image display processing unit that displays a reference image from a first person perspective as a following target and the self image at the display unit alternately in a time-dividing manner under the condition generating a blending feeling, and a display mode setting unit that lets the image display processing unit operate within the range of cycles (frequencies) and self-other ratios as the condition generating a blending feeling. This can bring the blending feeling with the reference image, and can support the continuation of spontaneous following motion.

A trochoid propulsion system includes wheels provided at three points of the outer edge of an outer wheel part that turns around a driving shaft; and a steering link part that co-rotates with the action part and is movable horizontally on a turning plane. The steering link part includes a liner slider including a guide member attached to a vertical steering shaft that rotates each wheel so that the length direction is in a radial direction of the steering shaft and a moving member that slides on the guide member. In a state where a center of rotation of the steering link part coincides with the driving shaft of the outer wheel part, a rotating shaft provided corresponding to the steering shaft is attached rotatably to the corresponding moving member at a position separated from the steering shaft by a predetermined distance.
