A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a stacked battery in which an unevenness of short circuit resistance among a plurality of cells is suppressed. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a stacked battery comprising: a plurality of cells in a thickness direction, wherein the plurality of cells are electrically connected in parallel; each of the plurality of cells includes a cathode current collector, a cathode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, an anode active material layer, and an anode current collector, in this order; the stacked battery includes a surface-side cell that is located on a surface side of the stacked battery, and a center-side cell that is located on a center side rather than the surface-side cell; and a contact resistance between the cathode current collector and the anode current collector in the surface-side cell is more than a contact resistance between the cathode current collector and the anode current collector in the center-side cell.

Stacked battery

A current collector in which, even in the case of using a copper substrate, an electroconductive layer comprising a thermoplastic resin and an electroconductive material and covering the copper substrate provides the same positive temperature coefficient resistance function as the case of using an aluminum substrate. The current collector may comprise: a copper substrate comprising a copper oxide layer that an average content of an oxygen element present within a thickness of 1.0 &#x3bc;m or less from a surface of the copper substrate, is 10.5 at % or more, and a positive temperature coefficient resistance layer comprising a thermoplastic resin and an electroconductive material and covering the copper oxide layer of the copper substrate.

Current collector, battery and methods for producing the same

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a stacked battery in which the unevenness of short circuit resistance among a plurality of cells is suppressed. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a stacked battery comprising: a plurality of cells in a thickness direction, wherein the plurality of cells are electrically connected in parallel; each of the plurality of cells includes a cathode current collector, a cathode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, an anode active material layer, and an anode current collector, in this order; the stacked battery includes a surface-side cell that is located on a surface side of the stacked battery, and a center-side cell that is located on a center side rather than the surface-side cell; and the surface-side cell and the center-side cell satisfy at least one of: condition i) an elongation rate of the cathode current collector in the surface-side cell is less than an elongation rate of the cathode current collector in the center-side cell; and condition ii) an elongation rate of the anode current collector in the surface-side cell is less than an elongation rate of the anode current collector in the center-side cell.

Disclosed is a stacked battery that can flow a larger rounding current in a short-circuit current shunt part than in an electric element when a short circuit occurs in the short-circuit current shunt part and the electric element in nailing, the stacked battery in which an electrical resistance of a current collector tab of the short-circuit current shunt part is smaller than an electrical resistance of a current collector tab of the electric element.

An all-solid-state battery including a laminated body with a cathode current collecting layer, cathode active material layer, solid electrolyte layer, anode active material layer, and anode current collecting layer in this order, and a restraining member that applies a restraining pressure to the laminated body in a laminated direction; containing a conductive material, an insulating inorganic substance, and a polymer, is in at least one of a position between the cathode active material layer and the cathode current collecting layer, and a position between the anode active material layer and the anode current collecting layer; the content of the insulating inorganic substance in the PTC layer is 10 volume % or more and 40 volume % or less; and a proportion of a particle size Dof the insulating inorganic substance, D, to a thickness of the PTC layer, T, regarded as D/Tis 0.6 or more and 1.0 or less.

All-solid-state battery

Disclosed is an all-solid-state battery that makes it possible for a larger rounding current flow into a short-circuit current shunt part than to each electric element when the short-circuit current shunt part and the electric elements short-circuit in nail penetration testing. The all-solid-state battery includes at least one short-circuit current shunt part and a plurality of electric elements, the short-circuit current shunt part and the electric elements being stacked, wherein the short-circuit current shunt part includes a first current collector layer, a second current collector layer, and an insulating layer provided between the first and second current collector layers, all of the layers being stacked, each of the electric elements includes a cathode current collector layer, a cathode material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, an anode material layer, and an anode current collector layer, all of the layers being stacked, the electric elements are electrically connected to each other in parallel, the first current collector layer is electrically connected with the cathode current collector layer, the second current collector layer is electrically connected with the anode current collector layer, and contact resistance between the first and second current collector layers when pressure at 100 MPa is applied is lower than that between the cathode and anode current collector layers when pressure at 100 MPa is applied.

All-solid-state battery with layered current shunt part

Disclosed is a stacked battery including at least one short-circuit current shunt part and electric elements, wherein: the shunt part includes first and second current collector layers, and an insulating layer provided between the first and second current collector layers, all of these layers being stacked; each power generation element includes a cathode current collector layer, a cathode material layer, an electrolyte layer, an anode material layer, and an anode current collector layer all of these layers being stacked; the first current collector layer is electrically connected to the cathode current collector layer and the second current collector layer to the anode current collector layer; the electric elements are electrically connected in parallel; and the shunt part next to the electric elements includes a PPTC layer between the first current collector layer and the insulating layer and/or between the second current collector layer and the insulating layer.

In an all-solid-state battery including at least one short-circuit current shunt part and at least one electric element which are stacked, when the battery is constrained, cracking etc. of the adhesive in the short-circuit current shunt pail is prevented. An all-solid-state battery able to inhibit internal short-circuiting that occurs in the case of a rise in battery temperature during improper use, etc., of the all-solid-state battery is provided. The all-solid-state battery () has a positive electrode active material layer (), a solid electrolyte layer () and a negative electrode active material layer () in that order, and the solid electrolyte layer () has solid electrolyte particles () and additive particles (). The additive particles have a melting point of 700&#xb0; C. or higher and are electrochemically inert. The ratio of the median diameter (D50) of the additive particles to the thickness of the solid electrolyte layer () is 0.4 to 0.8.

Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that allows a current cutoff mechanism to operate appropriately while maintaining high battery performance. Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A battery that can inhibit temperature rising when generating heat due to a short circuit etc., while inhibiting degradation of the battery output performance, includes a plurality of unit batteries stacked together; and an endothermic layer arranged between the unit batteries adjacent in a stacking direction, the layer including an endothermic material, wherein each unit battery includes: a pair of current collectors; and at least one electrode body, wherein: the pair of current collectors are arranged to both ends of the unit battery in the stacking direction respectively, the electrode body includes a first pole active material layer, a second pole active material layer which is different from the first pole active material layer, and a solid electrolyte layer; the first and second pole active material layer are arranged between the pair of current collectors; and the current collectors have contact with the first or second pole active material layer.

Provided is a method for manufacturing a current collector provided with a conductive layer that can keep a high resistance only at a high temperature. The method includes dispersing a carbon material in an organic solvent to prepare a carbon material dispersion solution, dispersing polyvinylidene fluoride in an organic solvent to prepare a resin dispersion solution, mixing the carbon material dispersion solution, the resin dispersion solution, and water, to prepare a composition for conductive layer formation, and forming a conductive layer on a surface of a current collector by applying the composition for conductive layer formation and thereafter drying the composition.

Method for manufacturing current collector and method for manufacturing solid battery

Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can achieve both battery characteristics during normal usage and resistance to overcharging at high levels. In this non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, an electrode body, which includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte are housed in a battery case. The battery case is provided with a current interrupt mechanism that activates when the pressure inside the case increases. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains cyclohexylbenzene and 4,4'-difluorobiphenyl as gas generating agents that decompose and generate gas when the battery reaches an overcharged state. In addition, when the overall quantity of the non-aqueous electrolyte is taken to be 100 mass %, a ratio of the content (mass %) of the 4,4&#x2032;-difluorobiphenyl (W2) relative to the content (mass %) of the cyclohexylbenzene (W1) (W2/W1) is 0.025 to 0.25.
