The vibration device includes a piezoelectric element having a connection terminal exposed from a main surface of the piezoelectric element, a first resin layer having conductivity and covering the connection terminal of the piezoelectric element to be electrically connected to the connection terminal, a wiring member overlapping the main surface of the piezoelectric element to cover the first resin layer, including a wire electrically connected to the first resin layer, and extending beyond one end of the piezoelectric element when viewed in a thickness direction of the piezoelectric element, and a second resin layer integrally covering the main surface of the piezoelectric element and the wiring member. The second resin layer includes a first layer in direct contact with the piezoelectric element and the wiring member, and a second layer covering the piezoelectric element and the wiring member via the first layer.

Vibration device

A vibration device includes a bimorph type piezoelectric element having a first main surface and a second main surface facing each other and a vibration member bonded to the second main surface of the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element has a first active region disposed closer to the first main surface between the first and second main surfaces and a second active region disposed closer to the second main surface than the first active region between the first and second main surfaces. When a force generated in the first active region is F1, a force generated in the second active region is F2, and a force by which the vibration member restrains the second active region is Fr, F2−F1≥Fr is satisfied.

Vibration device and piezoelectric element

A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body, an electrode layer, and a reinforcing layer. The piezoelectric body has a first main surface, a second main surface, and a side surface. The first main surface and the second main surface oppose each other. The side surface extends in an opposing direction in which the first main surface and the second main surface oppose each other in such a way as to connect the first main surface and the second main surface. The electrode layer is provided in the piezoelectric body. The reinforcing layer is provided on the first main surface. The electrode layer is provided opposing the first main surface and apart from the side surface. When viewed from the opposing direction, the electrode layer has a corner. When viewed from the opposing direction, the reinforcing layer overlaps the corner.

Piezoelectric element and vibrating device

A vibration device includes a piezoelectric vibrator having a piezoelectric element and a diaphragm having a pair of main surfaces facing each other, the piezoelectric element being bonded to the main surface, a vibration member where the piezoelectric vibrator is disposed, and an adhesive member disposed between the diaphragm and the vibration member and bonding the diaphragm and the vibration member. Each of the pair of main surfaces of the diaphragm has a rectangular shape when viewed from a facing direction of the pair of main surfaces, and the adhesive member is disposed in a facing manner on at least a pair of sides of the main surfaces.

In a piezoelectric element, shift of a resonance point to a low-pitched sound side is achieved. A resonance point of a piezoelectric element moves to a low-pitched sound side when an active region is configured to be surrounded by an inactive region as in the configuration of the piezoelectric element. According to the piezoelectric element whose resonance point is moved to a low-pitched sound side, the piezoelectric element can realize a sound pressure that is sufficiently high for practical use when it is applied to an acoustic device.

Piezoelectric element

A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric element body including a first principal surface and a second principal surface opposing each other, and a plurality of external electrodes disposed on the first principal surface. A vibration member includes a third principal surface opposing the second principal surface. The piezoelectric element is joined to the third principal surface. A wiring member is electrically connected to the piezoelectric element. The wiring member includes a region located on the plurality of external electrodes and joined to the plurality of external electrodes. The region of the wiring member monolithically covers the plurality of external electrodes when viewed from a direction orthogonal to the first principal surface.

A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body layer, a first electrode, a second electrode, a third electrode, and a conductor. The piezoelectric body layer has rectangular first and second principal surfaces opposing each other, and includes a piezoelectric material. The first electrode is provided on the first principal surface. The second electrode is provided on the first principal surface in such a way that the second electrode is separated from the first electrode. The third electrode is provided on the second principal surface in such a way that the third electrode opposes the first electrode. The conductor is connected to the second electrode and the third electrode. The first electrode has a round corner being rounder than a corner part of the piezoelectric body layer when seen in an opposing direction of the first and second principal surfaces.

A multilayer piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric element body, a first internal electrode and a second internal electrode, a plurality of first connecting conductors, a plurality of second connecting conductors, and an external member. The piezoelectric element body is formed by laminating a plurality of piezoelectric element body layer. The piezoelectric element body includes a first main surface and a second main surface, and a side surface. The plurality of first connecting conductors are connected to the first internal electrode. The plurality of second connecting conductors are connected to the second internal electrode. The external member is conductive and is bonded to the first main surface in such a way as to cover the first end portions of the plurality of first connecting conductors. The external member is electrically connected to the plurality of first connecting conductors.

Multilayer piezoelectric element and vibrating device

Vibration element

A piezoelectric element includes first and second electrodes, a first piezoelectric body layer, and a plurality of first through-hole conductors. The first and second electrodes oppose each other. The first piezoelectric body layer is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The plurality of first through-hole conductors penetrates the first piezoelectric body layer and is connected to the first electrode and the second electrode. When seen in an opposing direction of the first and second electrodes, the plurality of first through-hole conductors is arrayed in a matrix.

A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body layer, a first electrode, a second electrode, a third electrode, and a first through-hole conductor. The piezoelectric body layer has rectangular first and second principal surfaces opposing each other, and includes a piezoelectric material. The first electrode is provided on the first principal surface. The second electrode is provided on the first principal surface in such a way that the second electrode is separated from the first electrode. The third electrode is provided on the second principal surface in such a way that the third electrode opposes the first electrode. The through-hole conductor penetrates the piezoelectric body layer and is connected to the second electrode and the third electrode. The first electrode has a round corner when seen in an opposing direction of the first and second principal surfaces.

Provided is a piezoelectric ceramic composition which enables the attainment of sufficiently high Qand good temperature characteristics of oscillation frequency Fwhen applied in an oscillator utilizing third harmonic mode of thickness longitudinal vibration. The piezoelectric ceramic composition contains a composite oxide having a perovskite structure. The composite oxide has a composition expressed by the chemical formula (1), while satisfying 0.91&#x2266;&#x3b1;&#x2266;1.00, 0&#x3c;&#x3b2;&#x2266;0.08, 0.125&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.300, 0.020&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.050, and 0.040&#x2266;z&#x2266;0.070(PbLn)(TiZrMnNb)O&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)where Ln signifies at least one element selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu.

Piezoelectric ceramic composition and oscillator

A laminated piezoelectric element capable of being sintered at low temperatures and high in piezoelectric properties is provided. The laminated piezoelectric element comprises a plurality of piezoelectric layers each comprising a composite oxide as a main constituent thereof and a plurality of internal electrode layers formed between the piezoelectric layers and containing Ag, wherein the piezoelectric layers are each comprised of a sintered body comprising the composite oxide, as a main constituent thereof, represented by (PbM) [(ZnNb)TiZr]Owith the proviso that 0.96&#x2266;a&#x2266;1.03, 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;0.1, 0.05&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.15, 0.25&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.5, 0.35&#x2266;z&#x2266;0.6, x+y+z=1, and M represents at least one selected from Sr, Ca and Ba, and Ag in a content of 1.0% by weight or less (not inclusive of 0) in terms of AgO in relation to the main constituent.

Laminated piezoelectric element and production method of the same

Provided is a piezoelectric ceramic composition capable of being sintered at low temperatures and in a low-oxygen reductive atmosphere and capable of attaining a sufficient displacement even at high voltages of 1 kV/mm or more. The piezoelectric ceramic composition includes: a composite oxide, as a main constituent thereof, represented by the following composition formula; Cu and/or Ag, each as a first additive, Cu being included in a content &#x3b1;, in terms of CuO, falling within a range 0&#x3c;&#x3b1;&#x2266;0.5% by mass and Ag being included in a content &#x3b2;, in terms of AgO, falling within a range 0&#x3c;&#x3b2;&#x2266;0.4% by mass, in relation to the main constituent; wherein: composition formula: Pb[(ZnNb)TiZr]O, where 0.96&#x2266;a&#x2266;1.03, 0.005&#x2266;x&#x3c;0.05, 0.42&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.53, 0.45&#x2266;z&#x2266;0.56, and x+y+z=1.

Piezoelectric ceramic composition and laminated piezoelectric element

A piezoelectric ceramic and a piezoelectric device capable of being fired at a low temperature and improving piezoelectric properties are provided. The piezoelectric ceramic and the piezoelectric device includes Pb[(ZnNb)TiZr]O(where 0.94&#x2266;a&#x2266;1.02, 1&#x3c;b&#x2266;3, x+y+z=1, 0.05&#x2266;x&#x3c;0.125, 0.275&#x3c;y&#x2266;0.5, 0.375&#x3c;z&#x2266;0.6) or (PbMe)[(ZnNb)TiZr]O(where 0.96&#x2266;e&#x2266;1.03, 0.01&#x2266;f&#x2266;0.1, 1&#x3c;g&#x2266;3, u+v+w=1, 0.05&#x2266;u&#x3c;0.125, 0.275&#x3c;v&#x2266;0.5, 0.375&#x3c;w&#x2266;0.6, and Me indicates Sr, Ba or Ca). When an excessive amount of Zn is included, the firing temperature can be lower, and the piezoelectric properties can be improved.
